Happy Monday, friends, and welcome back to a new week! How was your weekend? We’re the proud owners of new upstairs carpet…and I couldn’t be happier about it. Honestly, it’s something that needed to happen when we first moved in six years ago, but we held off.
And the thing about carpet, it does not get better with age, ha! Once I get everything moved back in, I’ll turn my sights to adding a little Fall around the house. Did you see my Fall Decor finds, all on Amazon, last week? Find those HERE.
It’s been a few months since I shared a Faves Under $50…so I’ve rounded up some really great finds for you today. And not only are they all under $50, but they’re things I’ve been loving lately.
one. Exfoliating Body Mitt // I’ve tried a whole slew of loofahs, exfoliators, and mitts, and this one is far superior! My dermatologist recommended it as a full-body microdermabrasion, and it became an instant fave in my shower (Mr. SP uses it, too!). Made of 100% natural floss silk, it’s soft to the touch, but miraculous in visibly removing dead skin! The key is to use it towards the end of your shower, once the steam has softened your skin, and without soap (it needs a little friction). It may take a few sessions before you see it, but it will happen!
two. Weekender Bag // Â I ordered this bag to share in my latest Amazon Haul (see it HERE), but loved it so much I used before I had the chance to share! It is super roomie and has zippered pockets, plus a handy compartment for shoes on the bottom. It’s made of a sturdy canvas, with strong handles and zippers! Perfect for long weekends and overnights, or stocking up for a day on the soccer field.
three. Peel & Stick Wallpaper (Palms / Flowers / Botanical) // I’m positively giddy over this discovery! Peel & Stick Wallpaper, that’s (fairly) easy to hang on your own, and removes quickly with no residue…and in super chic patterns! My wheels are spinning of all the places I could use it…bookcases, stair risers, accent walls, etc. I’ve got my eye on this one for the lake house, and this one for here at home.
four. Brushed Gold Hardware Kit // How gorgeous is this brushed gold bath hardware!? You’ll never the believe the price for the full set! I love the modern touch it brings to our bathrooms (I have it in our master and guest bath). If you’re looking to update your bathroom, hardware is a great place to start and brings such a new feel! I’ve ordered it in black for the lakehouse.
five. Thin Band // You know I love my Kendra Scott pieces, and one of my favorite additions has been a thin gold band to my thumb. I love the delicate shape, especially in connection with my other rings. I’ve been wearing this one, but Kendra just released this 18k gold band that’s under $40! It’s the exact look for less, and just as strong and beautifully made.
six. Basket Set // These baskets have been one of those light bulb purchases for me! Obviously you can use them as stylish storage for just about anything, but they’ve been a game-changer on the backs of our toilets. That’s right, toilets. Each is the perfect size to fit two rolls of toilet paper, so no one has to yell down for “MOM!” to bring more!
seven. Tyler Candle // I love my Kathina detergent, so when I found the candle in the same scent, of course, I had to have it! It has hours of burn time, and a single candle makes my whole house smell divine! They make all the detergent scents, including Diva! (PS, curious to try this fan-favorite detergent, but not sure which scent you’ll love? Try this starter kit for the top 3, plus candles!)
eight. Puff Sleeve Top // I am all about the puff sleeves right now, and this one is no exception! It’s great with jeans and has the cutest keyhole back. I have it in green and black, and have been wearing it with sandals for months, but will swap them for leopard flats and neutral slides for fall.
nine. Gray Pullover // This cozy pullover is on the way to me, but considering the brand, I already know I’ll love it! It’s made of super-soft cozy fleece, perfect for running errands or just throwing on for around the house! It comes in few colors, but I am loving this striped version!
ten. Long Cardigan // Cardigans are a girls best friend, especially for us Texas’ girls in Fall! I am currently obsessing over this color block one from my recent Target Haul…and even had the chance to wear it last week! It is the perfect length, and even has pockets! The only problem is choosing which color you like best.
Speaking of under $50, I just ordered this ruffle sleeve top in yellow, and these leopard mules…I’ll be sure to let you know if they’re winners! What’s your favorite from this round of Faves Under $50? Have you spotted any great deals lately?

So I have decided that every woman, especially working outside the home, should follow a life style blogger that is in a similar season of life. That should just be a requirement. I cannot tell you how often I buy products based on your recommendation. I do not shop around, I do not pass go, I do not collect $200. All I do is click. Because I don’t have time for anything else. If my son needs a good skin cleanser – I look at your site. Your teenage gift guides have saved me more often than not with my nephews and niece’s birthdays/Christmas gifts. If I need a good friend/teacher gift that is affordable – I look at your site. If I want to stay current on regular people fashion trends I watch your pictures for outfit inspiration and recommendations (although we are COMPLETELY different sizes). If I need a good husband gift then I look at your recommendations because my husband is as goofy as yours. People are very mistaken that I have it all together and constantly ask me how I pull it off. I tell them I follow HiSugarplum. People are really stupid to not have a blogger to follow – it saves so much time. So I always try to click through your site so you get some kind of credit. Monday mail days are the best and the products are so random – just like life. I mean who really tries on a stick on bra over their t-shirt??? God Bless You! It is really the best. Although, I have resolved that my home will never look as beautiful as yours and that is okay. And seriously a personal trainer best friend does not get any better than your girl. I wish I was available for the workouts. Thank you for all you do and that you keep it as real as you can and still run a business. You help me keep my wits about me in maintaining the little extras in life on track.
Thanks Again!
Debbie
