Happy Monday from somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean! We disembarked the Royal Princess in London this morning, and are headed home to our babes. We had a marvelous time, but I’m ready to be home and have my arms around them again. A mama can only go so long without smelling her kid’s heads, am I right?!
I’ve got lots of travel recaps and Trip Reports to share in the coming weeks, but with my family on my mind, today I wanted to share some photos we took from our 20th anniversary trip to Kauai earlier this Summer. (You can see snapshots and other details from our trip here and here.)
I hadn’t planned on having professional photos taken on this trip, but once there, it felt so special to be celebrating a marriage milestone as a family, that I decided to have it documented. We didn’t have special or coordinated outfits, so I just told everyone to put on whatever made them feel most like themselves.
And with scenery this stunning, outfits don’t really matter. Plus, it’s the joyous faces of my precious family I’m looking at anyway.
I love this man and this life we’ve built. It’s not always easy, but it’s always good! I hope our joy for life and each other is evident to our kids. I know our marriage is the best gift we could ever give them. But trips to Hawaii don’t suck either. 😉
I know many of you are anxiously awaiting a full Kauai Trip Report, and I promise I haven’t forgotten!!
