Yep, you read that right…a neutral outfit on Hi Sugarplum! When I saw the great response to this post on Instagram and Facebook, I realized you obviously love a good neutral as much as the colorful combos.
But truthfully, my Fall and Winter wardrobe isn’t quite as bright as warmer months…there’s just something so chic about taupe, ivory, black, and other obvious neutral tones. I’ll admit though, creating two head-to-toe neutral looks without a single pop of color, did stretch my outfit-making skills! I didn’t realize how much I rely on the pop of a scarf or earrings to give an outfit some pizzazz.
So instead of color, I focused on mixing textures and tones, and created two neutral outfits to inspire you.
First up is shades of tans, ranging from bright white to darker brown. And yes ma’am, you absolutely can wear your white jeans year round! I usually pair them with lighter shoes to elongate the leg (taupe and cognac are my faves).
