Dressing Room Diaries | NSale Edition!

Happy Thursday, friends! Our big week of sale coverage is winding down… today is the last tier of Nordstrom cardholders to shop, and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to everyone on Saturday! Hopefully my posts have helped you navigate the sale, and decide what your closet needs most! This is my very favorite sale of the year, and I use it to refresh old items, stock up on go-tos, and even grab some holiday gifts.

Today I’ve got a big Dressing Room Diaries for you, chock-full of my top picks from the Sale, many of which came home with me! I’m sharing try-on videos of several things HERE, so stayed tuned for more!

Sugarplum Shopping Tip: Things have been selling fast, but if something you love is sold out, keep an eye on it for returns/restocks! They’re likely to hit right before the sale ends in a couple of weeks.

Fit Note: I’m 5’4″-ish, 125 pounds-ish, with a slight pear shape. My usual size is XS/2.

Mother Denim //

Let’s start with denim… it’s always one of my favorites, and usually yours, too! And fortunately, I found some really amazing styles that fit great, are super flattering, and on trend. Let’s start with the splurge styles… my beloved Mother Denim! They rarely go on sale, so I was so excited they’re included this year!

NSale top find! I absolutely adore this wide leg style, granted they’re a little long for me (an easy fix!), but they give you legs for days! A slimming high-rise with lots of stretch, they’re also super soft. The tee is a great staple, with a stretchy fit.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size 26 jeans and size Small tee.

Another great style, these straight leg jeans have a high rise, lots of stretch, and a cropped raw hem. I’d wear them with sandals now, and sneakers later. They fit and feel like jeans you’ve owned you whole life! And we’ll talk about shoes in a bit, but these loafers are beyond comfy, and so effortlessly chic!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size 26 jeans. Loafers are true to size.

Love the light wash of these mother jeans, super soft with a good amount of stretch. They run long, but that’s an easy fix. They’re closer to a mid-rise, with a soft finish and comfy fit.

Denim Under $100 //

This style was a best-seller last year and one of my go-tos! They fit and feel more like a trouser than traditional denim, in the softest, stretchy wash. I love the front pockets and wide leg, so cute with everything from sandals to sneakers to loafers.

And you peep those maryjanes? Yeah, you’ll see them in most every photo in this post… they’re that good! Lightweight and comfy, in the best colors and prints, and the price can’t be beat!

Darling denim under $100! Love the wash and dressier trouser style, plus they have a tummy smoothing waistband. The cropped length is fun for a range of shoes, and the front pockets are a flattering detail.

These lightwash jeans are under $75, and such an easy addition to my closet! They are super soft and stretchy, with a raw hem and straight leg. I’ll wear them with sandals now, and sneakers and flats later. They feel amazing on, and the price is even better!

These jeans are a fun trendy shape without a major investment. Plus, the high rise, soft rinse, and extra stretch make them so comfy to wear.

Cashmere Must-Haves //

Cashmere is always a great idea, especially when it’s on sale! I scooped up this crewneck in the brown coffee color, it will be in my closet for years for come. The quality and style is incredible, and the price is so good! It also makes a beautiful, can’t-miss gift!

Fit Tip: I sized up to a Small for a relaxed fit, but it’s true to size.

NSale Top Find! Gorgeous, cashmere cardigan, so soft with incredible quality and great sale price! Wear it buttoned or open, tucked or out, and even around your shoulders with dresses now! The grey came home with me, but the oatmeal is sitting in my cart!!

Tops & Jackets //

NSALE Top Find! Stop your scroll and add this jacket to cart immediately! It’s uber-chic and so classic… almost enough to have me wishing for Fall! It’s a textured boucle with a beautiful shape and buttons. I’m crazy for the camel, but it comes in black, as well.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS jacket.

The classic striped tee is a closet staple, this one is super soft and stretchy. Great for wearing alone or layering. Paired it with the most comfy trouser style denim under $100.

This pima cotton tee is a great basic, with a good amount of stretch and a true crewneck. Comes in a range of colors, I grabbed in black, too.

Activewear //

This Beyond Yoga set was a fun surprise, with the cutest colorblock design, and great support! The new On Cloud sneaks came home with me for my incline walks and workouts.

This adorable navy tennis dress from Zella is on sale during the Nordstrom sale! A perfect outfit for running errands or even a walk. It has a flattering racerback shape and separate shorts.

Another great Zella set, this one is super smoothing, with great support.

This Farm Rio dress was selling fast! Such a gorgeous print for fall, in a super soft cotton. It’s fully lined with puff sleeves, and a separate belt.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small, but it was all they had in store. It runs true to size, I’d normally wear a size XS.

Perfect fall dress! It’s made of soft cotton and is fully lined with a comfy smocked waist. Love the rich colors and flirty skirt. The boots are gorgeous, and a great fit on larger calves.

Lounge & Pajamas //

Who can resist Barefoot Dreams… correction, Barefoot Dreams on sale! This long set is a dream, like being wrapped in the softest hug. I grabbed it for my mom last year, and she’s still raving!!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small set, but had to roll the waist over in the pants.

Mama Sugarplum’s first pick each year, she loves these PJjs! Super soft and cooling jersey knit, they come in long and short styles, and in the cutest prints.

Fit Tip: I typically size up in PJs, but these are generous fit. I’m wearing a size XS.

This brown gingham set was on my Wish List, and it’s even cuter in person! Made of a crisp cotton, they have a relaxed fit and longer short.

A surprise find when I went in-store! This brushed fleece set is beyond soft and so cozy! Shorts run a little short, but Sloan will love it!

This cashmere wrap was on my Wish List, and I loved it even better in person! Super soft and cozy, it has a great ribbed texture. Wear it as a wrap or scarf, it’s perfect for travel, and makes a beautiful gift! And the loafers…. beyond comfy and so cute!
