Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! Sloan and I spent a few peaceful days alone at the lake this week, and it was exactly what I needed after the craziness of May! Plus, I always love one-on-one time with her… especially since she’s headed to camp on Sunday.

Today I’ve got an all new Dressing Room Diaries for you, and it’s chock full of the cutest new arrivals! I’ve been shopping for my sister’s wedding and our upcoming 25th anniversary trip, so this month an overload of bold, colorful, statement styles!

Dresses//

I don’t remember the last time I added to cart so fast as I did when I spotted this dress! The colors and print were just calling my name, and fortunately, it’s as cute in person as it was online! It’s a crisp cotton, with smocked top and full midi skirt. The straps are adjustable, and can also be worn tucked in for a strapless style. Consider me fully smitten!

I love color, but can also appreciate a beautiful neutral, especially when it comes in a chic print! This crisp cotton dress has a fun full sleeve, operational buttons, and can be worn either belted or loose, giving it two very different styles.

Fit Tip: It runs large, definitely size down. I’m in a size XXS.

A gorgeous woven halter dress in fun, bold colors, this one easily dresses up or down, and has an unbelievable price point! Plus, it’s fully lined and has a comfortable elastic waist with removable tie belt.

Sloan promptly swiped this maxi from me and is planning to wear it to my sister’s wedding brunch next weekend! I love the color and print, but the material makes it feel special! It’s almost a lightweight taffeta that’s easily dressed up or down.

I’m considering this maxi for the brunch… I love the pink and orange combo, and the twisted front is so flattering on the bust line. The straps are adjustable, and the material so light and gauzy. It’s also a great price point for the style!

Sloan begged me to order this Free People dress for senior events she has coming up, and I think we’ll both get a lot of wear out of it, ha! I love the fitted bodice for a feminine look, and the full skirt is so fun. It’s easily dressed up or down for showers or vacation.

How fun is this lilac and coral combo?! It’s as comfy as it is cute, too! Made of a super-soft and stretchy crochet knit, it’s form-fitting without being overly tight or body con.

Statement Dresses //

Okay, hold on to your hats because I found some really special dresses… starting with this gorgeous color block maxi! It’s made of a woven, gauzy material that moves so beautifully, with a braided halter tie and sassy front cut-outs. The coverage is minimal, so definitely a better fit for small chests.

There’s so much to love about this maxi I don’t even know where to start!! I was twirling the moment I slipped it on, which is always a sure-fire sign you’re in love with a style! It’s the same print throughout, but each tier in its own beautiful color combo. It’s also lightweight and soft, with stretchy straps for a comfy fit, and plenty long for the tall girls. You’ll also never believe the price!

This classic sheath dress has a stunning lace overlay with a beautifully embroidered floral pattern. The v-neck is flattering and bra-friendly, and it comes with the bold grosgrain tie. These clear heels continue to be my best affordable buy this season!!

Your tropical vacation called and said to pack this dress! A sturdy cotton, the open back is super-sassy, while not being too revealing. The straps are extra stretchy for a comfy fit.

The print and colors grabbed me first, and the unique cut-outs sealed the deal! I think I need to keep this one for our anniversary trip, don’t you think?! It’s a sturdy cotton-blend, with a relaxed fit and fun, twirly skirt.

This dress has a lot going on, but is stunning for the right occasion! It’s made of a cotton-linen blend that has a good weight to it, with a beautiful appliqué front and large cut-outs along the side and back. The top buttons in the back, rather than smocking, so it’s a firm fit (and doesn’t allow much room for larger boobs). The tiers are so beautiful and the length great for taller girls.

Fit Tip: I had to size up to a Small in order for the top to button, making the waist too big and low. So I’d say it’s true to size, but for the very small-chested.

Body-con dresses aren’t usually my first choice, just because I prefer looser fits… but my sister (and husband!) unanimously voted for me to wear this smocked dress for the rehearsal dinner! It’s smocked all the way down, so the fit is actually extremely comfortable, and the ruffled tiers add layers that make it feel less exposed. The flared hem gives it an incredibly flattering hourglass shape, too.

Another dress just waiting for your tropical vacation… I’m crazy for this print and these colors! It’s a heavy linen blend, so has a sturdy, dressy feel about it, with a gorgeous low back and large tie.

This eyelet midi was another contender for the rehearsal dinner! I love the deep blue color, fun straps, and low back. The top has a flattering sweetheart neckline with bustier-style cups, and it’s lined to the mid-thigh.

Rompers & Sets //

This flirty, floral romper is as sweet as it is sassy. A ruffled one-shoulder, with elastic waist and optional tie, the shorts are loose and floaty.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small romper,  but would prefer my usual XS.

How about this find for a statement romper!? It’s a sturdy cotton, with puff sleeve and deep v (we’re talking grab your fashion tape deep!). The belted waist is so flattering, and it easily dresses up for a night out.

Fit Tip: I sized up to a Small for more room through the shorts, but would definitely require fashion tape to keep the top flat!

Halter necklines are always a favorite of mine… they are so incredibly flattering! This one is silky soft, fully lined, and with a comfy elastic waist and full legs.

This two-piece set is uber-chic, with a gorgeous print and beautiful satin material. The cropped top zips up the back and the wrap skirt ties at the side. I love them together, but they make incredible separates, as well.

Tops & Tees //

I open packages all day, every day, so only the special pieces get an audible ‘CUUUUUTE!!!‘… and this top definitely made the cut! I love the shades of pink, flirty tiers, and the textured material for pairing with jeans and shorts.

I’m always a sucker for embroidery, especially in statement tops for summer! This cotton top has puff sleeves and a forgiving a-line shape, plus fun tassel ties! So fun for summer!

This top has an unexpected fit, but is so unique I decided to include it for you. Made of a pique cotton, it buttons up the front with a peplum hem and cap sleeves. It’s super low though, so only nipple covers will work.
