Summer will be over before we know it. Which means no more bathing suits, but the beginning of jeans season! Bathing suits and jeans…two of my least favorite things to shop for! I don’t know if I’ve ever found the elusive ‘Perfect Pair,’ but certainly not from lack of trying. I always take a giant pile of jeans into the dressing room and pick through them one by one. Same routine with each pair:
I happen to be blessed (har-har) with a short inseam and substantial junk in the trunk. Not ideal for finding well-fitting jeans. So when the folks at Express jeans contacted me and asked if I’d be interested in reviewing their women’s jeans, I jumped at the chance. After all, I like the fit of their Editor pants and hoped the jeans would be similarly successful.
I hopped over to the store on my lunch break, and the sales associates were so helpful and knowledgeable about the jeans. They brought me several different fits to see which suited my body best (as well as some really cute tops!)
They patiently switched out styles and sizes until I found my best fit. My favorites were the Stella Flare with flap pockets:
Express jeans also have pocket styles ranging from basic to lots of bling, and dark, light and distressed rinses. You can also choose between short, regular and long lengths. I tend to stick with a dark rinse with very little embellishment. My goal is to always look taller and slimmer (I’m just shy of 5’4″).
They also had some really fun colored jeans, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to jump on that bandwagon.
I tried the Jean Leggings and Skinny Jeans, but they were too tight for my ‘curvy’ legs.
