Hi Sugarplum!

{DIY} Eiffel Tower Jewelry Stand

May 18, 2011

Hello! I’m back today with another project from Babygirl’s Room…one of the last ones actually! Clearly there’s a Parisian theme (as indicated in the bedding and wall art), so having an Eiffel Tower was pretty much essential.

I actually already had one, so this project was virtually free! It used to house a clock, but once it stopped working I just hung on to the Eiffel Tower part. I thought it’d be perfect for Babygirl to hang all her jewels on!

1) I picked up small wooden pegs at Michaels (speaking of, did you notice that fat 40% off coupon ?!? Git it!) 2) Wedge them in the small openings of the mesh siding with a bit of Gorilla glue. 3) Allow to dry overnight, then hit the whole thing with a coat of spraypaint!

I decided Babygirl’s Room doesn’t lack for color, so chose a glossy black paint for her new jewelry stand!

She loves hanging her very important jewels, and having them on display makes getting accessorized every morning so easy, dahling!

I love having a three-dimensional Eiffel Tower to go with all the Paris artwork in the room.

And I love that this cute project only set me back a buck! All I had to buy were the wooden pegs, and thanks to my Michael’s coupon, those were 40% off!

I can’t believe it, but this week is my One Year Anniversary of blogging!! I’m putting together a pretty sweet little giveaway for you amazeball loyal readers…assuming I can pry my fingers off these goodies!

Pier 1 is selling the eiffle tower alone as a jewelry stand. but its much taller and is going for $20-$30. Saw it in the catalog they sent out this month.
