Cheers to Friday, friends, and the first weekend of the Christmas holidays! Thank you so much for your sweet comments on our Christmas tree this week…I’m excited to share more of our decked-out home in the coming weeks. I’ve heard some of you are having problems receiving email feeds (that sucks!), so hopefully you aren’t missing my daily posts!
The next few weekends are chock-full of holiday parties, but also a lot of casual family and friend gatherings, that call for relaxed, cozy styles. Today I’m sharing two easy, yet still stylish, outfits that are perfect for a cozy Christmas afternoon. And eating. #keepingitreal

You may remember this fleecy pullover and scarf from the latest {Dressing Room Diaries}…I’m pretty much obsessed with both, so you’ll be seeing a lot of them this season. I love the unexpected combination of pink, red and navy in a Winter-wool scarf. And the hoodie pullover…well, it’s so comfy and soft I’m not convinced it’s not really a pajama top!
It’s a relaxed, generous fit (I’m wearing an XS), and is long enough to cover all the lady bits, but is a little sheer. I layered a tee underneath for some extra warmth, and was perfectly comfortable. It comes in several great colors…this is the ‘blue rain drop’, but I think I might need to add a gray one to my closet. Especially while it’s on sale!

Finally…leggings that stay put on your waist, and are opaquely thick! Most leggings get saggy, or are sheer in spots so you see the fabric weave, or worse, your skin underneath…but these blackout leggings keep it all covered and hidden. But without cutting off your circulation. #winnerwinnerchickendinner

Now for our next Cozy Christmas look…we’re swapping the leggings for distressed jeans, and replacing the comfy fleece pullover with a comfy fleece cardigan wrap. You aren’t really all that surprised to see me in the kitten-cardi again, are you?!

I just can’t help but reach for it when I want to be cozy and comfortable, but it never fails to get compliments either. It’s pretty much replaced all my sweatshirts, even for bumming around the house. I’m wearing a regular small for a bit more room and length.

I usually layer a simple tank underneath because I love the feel of the fleece lining, then mix it up by wearing it buttoned, or open with and without a scarf.

And yes, absolutely pair black and brown…just keep with a lighter, cognac color, instead of chocolate brown.

Nothing fancy or cutting edge in the fashion department, but good every day outfits that feel cozy, and look pulled together, are winners in my book. It doesn’t get much better than that, right?! Well, unless you throw in some Christmas Crack. What’s your weekend uniform this time of year? Happy weekend, lovebugs!
