Cover Me in Sunshine

Happy Monday, lovebugs, and welcome back to a new week! We’re headed home from our little getaway today, feeling rested and connected! It’s amazing what a couple of days together, and away from responsibility, can do for a marriage!

The last few months have been so heavy, and our relationship took a backseat, so I’m grateful for the time together to reconnect. We celebrate 24 years of marriage next month, so it certainly wasn’t the first (or last!) time we needed to hit the reset. And with just five more days until Summer Break, the timing was perfect!

I think Texas decided to skip Spring and head straight to Summer! It’s been in the 90s for weeks already, so we’ve got pool days and lake time on the top of mind. If you’re in the same boat, I found several darling swimsuits and cover-up options, and they all ship fast and free from Zappos!

I love a classic black suit, but this one had me at multi-color! I love the deep v-neck for a flattering, feminine style, and the wide straps provide lots of support and lift. The faux wrap creates an hourglass shape, and the back offers full coverage!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a 4.

I love pairing skirts and shorts as a cover-up to one-piece swimsuits… and this suit makes a darling tank! I’ve been wearing these cut-off denim shorts for several months, and find myself reaching for them more than any others. I love the wash and slightly longer inseam. Plus, they have a similar fit and style to the Agolde shorts, but for about half the price tag.

Fit Tip: I usually size up in cut-offs because I prefer them to be looser, these are a 27.

When it comes to full cover-ups, I prefer them loose and lightweight. This chambray pullover has a classic shirt style, with roll-tab sleeves. This blue goes with everything and isn’t sheer at all.

And let’s talk flip flops for a second! I’ve been a long-time fan of Havaianas, and while I still love them, once I tried these Reefs there was literally no going back! Rather than a flat insole like most flip flops, these Reefs actually have arch support and a shape that literally hug your feet. Plus, they’re super lightweight and waterproof.

Fit Tip: The coverup is oversized, I’m wearing an XS. Flip flops are true to size.

This romper is another fun option… it looks more like an actual outfit than a swim cover! Made of the softest gauzy cotton, it has a relaxed fit and the cutest shape! I love the little collar and cuffed sleeve.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small.

I found this ribbed one-piece a few months ago, and it’s definitely going to be a favorite this season. It’s the perfect blend of covered yet sassy. It has a deep v-neck in the front, with built-in cups and a low back with a touch of cheekiness.

Fit Tip: I always size up one in swimsuits, I’m wearing a 4.
