Happy Thursday, friends! I’m so excited about today’s post as it ranks as one of my favorites of all time!
I adore every aspect of creating our Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Collections, but the best aspect by far is seeing YOU in them!ย I love hearing how good the pieces make you feel, seeing how they fit into the occasions of your life, and being inspired by your stylish combinations. Our intent is always to create pieces that make you feel beautiful and confident, and I’m thrilled beyond words when they bring you joy!
To celebrate our latest Collection, we gifted four of the most influential women in my kids’ lives…their teachers…their pick from the Gibsonlook x Hi Sugarplum ‘Season of Cheer‘ Collection, and invited them to a day of photoshoots and fun! After the last 20 months, I can’t think of anyone who deserves spoiling as much as teachers do.
These women, and so many others, have blessed our family and community with years of incredible service, knowledge, patience, and care. They went above and beyond for my kids, and directly impacted who they are as young adults now. I’m forever grateful for all the teachers in our schools…for the love, care, and lessons they’ve taught our kids.
Honoring and celebrating them last weekend was one of the best days of my life! I think you’ll be inspired, too.

We hosted them at a local studio, decked out with backdrops, lights, accessories for styling, and lots of gifts. The joy on their faces from the moment they arrived was infectious, and I spent most of the day laughing through happy tears.
It’s been years since Little Miss saw them, and they all lit up seeing each other again.

After everyone got dressed in their first ‘Season of Cheer‘ย outfit, it was time to spoil them! All my favorite brands generously donated so many of my Sugarplum Faves, from new monogrammed tote bags and sparkly jewels, to makeup and skincare. We even had cookies and cheese!
We topped it all off with an Amazon gift card for their classrooms. Most of them hadn’t treated themselves to new clothes or self-care in years, and their joy was palpable!

After gifts, they hit up the accessories table to add some bling and sparkle to their ‘Season of Cheer‘ outfits… then it was photo time!

We had the absolute best time!! Their excitement and enthusiasm just poured out, and the room was full of so much love. Not to mention, they are all stunning from the inside out.

Meet Ami //
Ami taught 3rd and 4th grade for 13 years before leaving to raise her three daughters, Charlie, Ellie and Penni. She’s currently working on Ellie’s Law and hopeful to continue making changes within the state department regarding infant safety at in-home daycares.
She remembers Little Miss as sophisticated and fun, with a very old soul and aย personality that could charm the whole room. She was always willing to listen to others and had the courage to do the right thing. Her favorite memory of Little Miss was just hearing her contagious laugh!

Meet Tambra //
Tambra is in her 16th year of teaching 1st, 2nd and 4th grades, but recently switched to the Instructional/Dyslexia Specialist. As the mom of two, one a super sweet and smart son with dyslexia, she knows this is exactly where she’s supposed to be!
She loves 2nd graders most, for their sweetness and innocence, but also their confidence and independence. Little Miss kept her laughing with all her funny stories and observations… like the time she decided she was Muslim until she realized she couldn’t eat bacon, or when she told Tambra how she witnessed her mom’s eyebrows getting ripped off at the nail salon, and was awarded $1 million dollars from getting salmonella at Neiman Marcus! Oh, another time Little Miss took her flowers, but decided she wanted them back because they were so pretty!

Meet Lynda //
Lynda taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades for 43 years before retiring… but is back as a long-term substitute! She loved teaching 5th graders because they could be role models for the younger students.
Her favorite memory of teaching Little Miss was helping her recognize all her academic talents. It was so rewarding to watch her grow!

Meet Faye //
Faye taught 4th and 5th grades for 9 years before taking a break to raise her two young children. Her favorite grade is 5th because they’re old enough to be responsible, mature and capable, but young enough to still love school and their teachers!
Her favorite part about teaching comes later when you see former students at graduations and weddings, and see they’ve grown into the successful humans you knew they would be… and knowing you played a part in that!

It was absolutely my JOY to do this…I just wish I could bottle the feelings of that day and spread them around! It was truly the BEST!
Gosh, I love this so much. Wow, these women are beautiful and could be regular models for your future clothing collections. All look so pretty in their clothes. I love how you are showing your daughter to empower and appreciate other women. Well done!
I was thrilled Little Miss could be there and she was grinning from ear-to-ear all day!! Even on the way home she said, ‘That was really cool!’ Which is a lot coming from a teen! ๐
Each of them look so beautiful! What a wonderful day! I just love this.
It was an absolutely incredible day!!!! They were so deserving, and totally rocked modeling the clothes like it was their job! xo, C
Love that Lynda was one of the your recipients!! She was my 2nd grade teacher in 1982ish and worked with my mom the first time she was at the elementary school that she came back to retire! Such an amazingly deserving teacher!!
That is amazing!! She’s the best!
Wow! This is the best thing Iโve read in months! Good teachers are so impressionable. I graduated in 1987 and Iโm still in touch with some of mine. I never let a conversation with them end until Iโve told them how appreciate everything they did for me! So glad you did this and I hope others will follow suit!
I love that you stay in touch! That’s so special! xo. C
I love everyone in these pictures! What a nice treat for these gifted, dedicated and caring teachers!! You ALL look adorable! <3
YOU are one of the best, too!!! I wish I could have hosted every one of the H teachers and staff!!! xoxo. C

I love this! I have three kids – 2 college grads and 1 in college – and they have all had some amazing teachers along the way. I also have several teacher friends and all teachers deserve all the love we can bestow on them for what they have gone through the past two years. Kudos to you for pulling off such a great day!
Thank you so much, Rita! It was one of the best days ever, truly!! Teachers are truly heroes. xoxo, C
This is so special and such an amazing tribute to teachers!! Thank you!!! Would you mind sharing links to shoes (specifically, Tambraโs)!?!?
Hi Laurel!! If I do have a link for something in the post, then it’s linked in the post! Unfortunately I don’t have info on the ladies’ shoes and some personal jewelry! xo, C
This is just great! After 37 years of teaching, I know how special and appreciated these teachers feel. Kiddos to you for making them feel that way!
