Cheers to Friday, friends! I hope you’ve had a great week, with fun plans ahead. We headed to the lake for a little family time before we drop the teenager off at camp Sunday night. This year he’s headed to Colorado for two weeks!! I’m going to miss him like crazy, but know he’s going to have an amazing time making lifetime memories. Plus, it’s fun to have an only child for a bit, too.
Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. My hope is that they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.
Let’s start it out with this comfy style, perfect for a day of travel. The jeans are so soft and stretchy, and the tee honestly feels like pajamas. How can you beat that combo?! And this oversized tote is so sturdy and roomie, making it a great carry-on.

This dress combines my two favorite dress elements…racerback and stripes! It’s crazy-soft, too, and fully restocked.

Speaking of racerback, this dress accompanies on literally every single trip. It folds to the size of a deck of cards, and never wrinkles! Not to mention, it’s equally cute with heels or sneakers.

We kicked Summer Break off with a trip to Montana to visit my brother and sisters…and the weather couldn’t have been more glorious! I could get used to waking up to crisp mornings in June!! This linen shirt is perfectly slouchy and preppy…and the jean shorts are in constant rotation. Oh, and this magic potion transformed my grungy sneakers back to bright white! Is anything more quintessentially Summer than white eyelet?! I think not! And this dress is so breezy light, perfect for steamy days!

I’ve never been much for one-piece swimsuits…but I realize now that’s mostly because I’d yet to find one that fit well, looked chic (and a little bit sexy!), and was comfortable. I changed my tune when I found this one. It sucks you in in all the right places, and creates a flattering silhouette. (I sized up to a 4, but I have a longer torso.) I’m also pretty much cuckoo for these kimono-style cover-ups this year.

Traveling home in the same pajama-worthy jeans (love the cropped length and raw hem!), but this time with an equally soft blousey shirt. It has the cutest pin tucks at the shoulders for a feminine fit.

Stripes + all the colors!! Could a top be any more ‘me’?? I sized up to a small for a relaxed fit, and it’s so cute with jeans and shorts. These cut-offs are a great fit, as well, and super price point!

Oh look, those perfect white cut-offs again! This time with a linen-blend tank…and those palms are sequins!!

I posted an Instagram Story wearing this suit, and the messages came pouring in! Apparently a lot of us love a high-neck swim suit with modest bottoms. I love the stripe and floral pattern combo, and the high-neck is perfect for protecting my chest from too much sun.
Montana has my heart for many reasons….sweeping meadows and rushing rivers are two of them!

That, and massive waterfalls! That haze around me is the spray from the falls!! And of course the world’s best hiking shoes came with me, and didn’t disappoint. They’re seriously so good for all kinds of terrain.

Swing dresses are my jam…for their easy fit, room for dessert, and versatility. This one is extra thick and stretchy, and now comes in several bright colors. It’s cute with sneakers, wedges, and even flip-flops and a swimsuit. This straw tote is uber-lightweight and cute with so many Summer outfit combos.
