If you’ve ever remodeled a room…specifically a bathroom or kitchen…then you know just how stressful it can be. Granted, it’s completely exciting to be able to create a space exactly to your liking (or as ‘exactly’ as the budget allows), but there are just so many decisions…the kind of expensive decisions that are reallllllly hard to undo.
For those reasons, I usually tend to second guess every choice that accompanies a remodel…and this Kitchen was no different. But all these months later, I’m thrilled with every hand-wringing, self-doubt inducing, reach-further-in-the-bank-account decision we made, and I pinch myself every time I walk in this room. I can’t believe this is my house, and I get to boil water in this Kitchen! (Just kidding, I use the toaster, too.) 😉
This room truly is the heart of our home…where we gather every morning and night, and usually all the hours in between. The space works and flows so much more efficiently now, too, and I’m actually excited by the prospect of cooking. #gofigure
We’re still working on a few design and organizational details, so I’ll be back to discuss those, along with the full breakdown. Oh! And be sure you’re following me on InstaGram or Facebook…I finally get to reveal the big secret later today!
Gorgeous! Love ❤️❤️❤️
it's all about that backsplash for me- LOVE!
Oooooooooooooh! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! SUCH A GORGEOUS SPACE! I love the tile, the cabinets, the pulls, the floor, the rug, THAT WOODEN BOWL WITH THE COLORFUL BORDER, the teaspoons casually hanging over the silver pitcher, the wooden tools in the pitcher, the coffee bar, the cake pedestal, I LOVE IT ALL!!!!!! Well done friend!
Such a great space! Love all the pretty details and accessories you added and seeing that coffeemaker made me miss my morning cup I gave up. Beautiful job sweetie! XOXO
I can certainly understand why you pinch yourself every time you walk into your kitchen. All of that hand wringing paid off because it's gorgeous! Enjoy your new space!
Love it love it love it! That butlers pantry alone….
Oh wow, you really did an amazing job, this is gorgeous and looks like total perfection to me. Love, love, love the tile backsplash, stunning.
Your kitchen is gorgeous! Thanks for the inspiration and all the great ideas.
Bahhhh! Its SO good!! Everything looks just perfect!!
That butlers pantry type area is to die for!!!! Of course the pieces I like are from home goods, ours is awful (like every single thing is broken or poorly made awful)! The amount of stuff next to the stove bugs me, but that tile… Ooo!
It was sooo worth the wait! It's…it's….wow….I could use so many different words to finish this sentence. Beautiful….gorgeous…..stunning!! Your kitchen is perfect and looks just like a "Cassie" kitchen! Well…..I feel like it does anyway, even though I really don't know you. It's light, bright and full of pattern. Love that tile!!
Your kitchen looks awesome! I love the backsplash and the rug.
This kitchen is GORGEOUS, Cassie! I predict that it will only be a matter of time before we see it in a magazine! 😉 Beautiful!
I've never, EVER seen such a beautiful backsplash….it's totally stunning.
My daughter told me about your great blog and I couldn't wait to visit. I am linking to follow and look forward to going back in your archives to see what all you've done.
Absolutely gorgeous! Love, love, love it!
How pretty! I love it! That backsplash is gorgeous!
So, so fantastic. The backsplash and the runner are just…beyond. It's fabulous and your cute family looks so happy living in it – the most important part!
It's gorgeous! I'm so glad that it's finished and you guys can enjoy it now! Can't wait to see what your next project will be! 🙂
Your kitchen is absolutely beautiful!!! I know exactly how you feel about making this type of huge, no-going-back, decision. I'm revealing our brand new engineered wood floors on my blog today and I would love if you would check them out!! This was totally one of those decisions and I actually used your dark wood floors as inspiration!
Bravo! Everything is just gorgeous, Cassie! The rug was the perfect choice to finish off the space!
it is beyond stunning my dear… you can do no wrong when it comes to design and decor in my book and i LOVE that it's unlike all the other kitchens out there!!! truly SUPERB 😉 OXOX
Perfection!!! Everything came together so well!
I really love the tile and the rug! Such a beautiful space. 🙂
What is the name of the runner? I can't seem to find it on the World Market website. Any help you could give would be appreciated!! Gorgeous kitchen.
Their rugs are one of a kind, so I can't link my exact one…but you can narrow them down by color and size, and there are several that are quite similar to mine. xo
That space is unrecognizable!! You did an awesome job! Curious…what material are the countertops? I know they are orginal from before but they blend in nicely with your remodel.
Thanks girlie! Our counters are corian…which took some getting used to after having granite for so many years. I can't put super hot or cold items directly on it…but the upside is I get a solid white surface with no pattern (what I wanted to balance the backsplash) xoxo
Love everything!! Did y'all add the cabinets and the refrigerator at the same time? Or were your cabinets just the perfect height for a bev. fridge? I really want one, and I even have an opening for one (90's kitchen desk area opening), but I haven't found one that will fit. So, now I'm thinking of adding new cabinets to that section of my kitchen and was wondering your cabinet source. [Sorry for the long/ potentially confusing comment]. Thanks!
Thanks Barbara! We search far and wide for a beverage fridge that fit the dimensions…and got lucky with this one (linked in the source list!). It's exactly the same width and height as one cabinet bay (probably not coincidence) So they cut out the cabinet and drawer above, and just slid the fridge in! Well, they had to install an outlet to power it, too 🙂
Looking good, girl!!! Love that backsplash!
Gorgeous! And THAT RUG!
Worth "taking a risk" with the tile, it is gorgeous! I hope you have many happy, blessed years cooking in your beautiful new kitchen! Can't wait to hear about the big secret!
Cassie absolutely stunning !!!! What a way to brighten up your day with a great start entering your kitchen !!!! Enjoy the many meals and family gatherings in your new kitchen !!!! I can't wait to hear about the New secret …you always keep us on the edge …lol
It's really beautiful Cassie. That tile would make cooking so much easier! (I hope you bloggers get a kick back from Pelligrino as they get so much free advertising with kitchen reveals ; )
Yay! I'm sure you're so excited to have this all finished. I love the cabinets you chose, and your silver tea set, so elegant! 🙂
Cassie, it turned out so beautiful! I love all the choices you made, the best one being that show-stopper tile for the backsplash. You and your family are just adorable and I wish you many happy years cooking in there! (Or boiling water, as the case may be.)
The black and white is stunning! The whole kitchen is just gorgeous!
Brenda
So gorgeous and colorful! I see many more magazine spotlights in your future!
Cassie,
It turned out beautifully. I hope you and your family enjoy many meals in this new kitchen together.

Such a fun kitchen. I love everything you chose. Very inspiring!
Hey I want to pull up a barstool & pour myself some (a lot of) champagne (that I brought over; don't run out to buy several bottles just for my sake, darlin') whilst you cook to celebrate!!
Girl. I love how it looks now!!! Is this for real?! Not enough exclamation points in the world to express how awesome this transformation is. And your family rocks. Would I be able to use them for my photos after our kitchen reno……
PS. I got a new phone & lost your number!!! National emergency.
So gorgeous! Just the right balance between personality and character, and white and fresh. Well done! You must be really enjoying the space.
Wow, it is really too beautiful for words. I just love everything about it. I was sent and email from Bloglovin and just had to take a peek. It was so worth it. I have to know what shade of white or is it gray that you used on the cabinets? Well, it is all so fabulous and I know you had to spend a fortune just on the materials….. looks so perfect. Lucky gal you are.
Thanks Sheryll! The cabinet colors are Mindful Gray, and all the details are listed and linked in the Source List at the bottom of the post! I found some really great deals on most everything, so it actually wasn't a budget buster! xo
I love this room! Such a wonderful transformation. When cane I come over? I'll even cook for you 🙂
Cooks have an open invitation!! 🙂 xo
Well I'm totally in love 🙂 We are working on our kitchen too – and the decisions are hard! So permanent! haha – take a look when you get time 🙂
Where did you get the cabinets?
They were original to the house…we just painted them!
I love your blog and glad I found it today! Excited to follow you!
Linds @ not a mom
I DIE!! AMAZING!!! 🙂
All of the decisions came together perfectly!!! It's so beautiful and so Cassie! The backsplash and rug are showstoppers. I have a feeling we'll be seeing this in a magazine before too long!
So good! And you're so cute. 🙂
What in the world? This is the most unique and beautiful kitchen I've seen! You seriously were so lucky to have great cabinetry and those amazing windows on either side of the range…WOW. Who knew it could look like this? You are so talented and your photos are like a magazine. I never would've thought to take shots with the family in them like the magazines do….super cool!
I love it girl! You did an amazing job. No wonder you grin every time you walk into the room!
FANTABULOUS!!! My combination of fantastic+fabulous. Just a beautiful space all around.
Perfection! I love that you brought in the wood accents and the woven bar stools…they add the perfect balance against the black, white & grey and the splash of color with the rug is amazing. Super impressed…now to steal some ideas!
You outdid yourself, mama! Love every inch!
YEEEEHAW! That is geeeeorgeous, Cassie! That backsplash definitely steals the show!
oh my gosh!!! it's beautiful I want to visit your kitchen!
liz jo @ sundays with sophie
Like erry thang you do, it's perfection! The gray cabinets, the *amazing* backsplash, that fab rug 😍😍😍 You know I don't leave comments anymore (I'm strictly a blog lurker now 😜) but daaaaaayum…this deserved a gushing comment ❤️
QUESTION,!
Love what you did & i am planning to do the same in my kitchen.
I am assuming you layed your wood floors up to the cabinets & just under appliances. So, my big question is, how did your dishwasher fit under the counter top & what did you have to do to get it to fit???
My husband is insisting we have to take out all the cabinets & lay floors under everything? Please help, this big issue has held up our doing it for years!
The floors only raised the dishwasher about half an inch, so not enough to make fitting an issue. The floors are all the way under the dishwasher and fridge.
Dying!!! Love every incredible detail. The tile? Amazing. You ROCK! xoxo
I'm lucky enough to have been in your kitchen and you captured it beautifully! Thanks for providing the source list! And your staycation looked so fun. Loved getting to see all those family photos. How do you stay so skinny eating only Mexican food?!?! 😉
The kitchen is stunning down to every detail. We are in the middle of a full kitchen reno. Hopefully by this weekend we will be towards the end. Loved all the pictures. Simply beautiful
So so gorgeous! I love every single detail too.
I love everything! If possible, can you tell me where is the white salt/pepper mill from?
Thanks Ryan! It's from HomeGoods!
Shockingly stunning!
The baggallini rolling back and I would take it on just about every weekend trip!
it's beautiful! luv luv luv that rug! the vase is perfect there (I spy! I'm jonesing for that vase!) I finaly found some old antique tin ceiling tiles I'm going to use as a back splash I just need new counter tops! haha. I'm thinking real butcher block
I'm in LOVE with your kitchen! I can't even pick a favorite part! The lanterns, the rug, the backsplash…everything is AMAZING!
I did have a question…how much of the wood grain shows through the paint on your cabinets? Do you feel like it's something you notice? We're getting ready to paint our cabinets and that's something I've been curious about. Thanks in advance!
Thanks so much, Kristen! That's a great question…on the existing cabinets that had a layer of varnish, you can barely see the grain. On the new cabinets we had built, the grain def shows through more (even after priming). It was something I thought would be an issue, but honestly, I don't even notice it. And also, I don't mind that you know they are wood…adds a bit of texture and and depth. Hope this helps!! xo
This is a small thing, but I'm loving that little white tin with the orange pattern. Is it a tea cannister? I can only make out the word "grapefruit." I'm guessing that there's a strong chance that this was a random find at Home Goods, but just in case this is a favorite, I thought I'd check. Between the cute tin and a tea in one of my favorite flavors, I'm intrigued!
Love that you're looking so closely at the pictures!! That tin is an Anthropologie candle…smells like heaven!! And it's cute sitting out bc of the tea tin package!! xo
Hi Cassie! Its all beautiful! Can you tell us what plants you have in the cute pots? Thank you!
Thanks Aimee! The small windowsill is a succulent, the tall one by the sink is a money tree, and the stems in the white vase are faux cherry blossoms! xo
You've done the space justice- It's gorgeous!!!
What color are the walls and trim used in the kitchen and pantry area? It is a great offset to the lightness of mindful gray. I didn't see it in the other comments so I hope not to repeat questions!
Thanks so much, Jenna! I can't believe I forgot to include that…and you're the first to ask! The walls are SW 'Repose Gray'…just one up from the cabinet color on the swatch. Hope this helps!! xo
Do you remember the name of your persian rug? I've been on the site but I can't find yours?
I wish I could link you to the exact one, but they are one of a kind. Perhaps email them and ask what they suggest that's closet to mine? I hope that helps!
Beautiful kitchen, i like your backsplash, the color are perfect!, Fabulous job!!!
So beautiful! I love the bold backsplash tile!
Very Nice
Love love love your taste! What is the green color on the hood over stovetop range? That makes it perfect! Thanks for your help! Beautiful job on your kitchen!
Bonnie
Thanks so much! All the cabinets, including vent hood, are SW Mindful Gray.
