Thank you so so much for the kind words about our Back-to-School Style post! The kids and I had so much working on it together, and I’m still pinching myself that I was able to work with one of my very favorite brands. They read all your sweet comments last night, and both had a little extra pep in their steps this morning.
This blogging journey has brought me some amazing opportunities, with precious friendships being one of the best. A few months ago, my darling friend Jen (we met online!) and I were invited to speak at the Bloom Bash Workshop, which was created by our gorgeous friends Michaela and Ashley (whom I also met online…a concept my mom still doesn’t understand!). 😉
I gave a session on decorating tips, specifically how to style consoles, and Jen spoke on the power of Pinterest. Then we participated in a no-holds-barred Q & A session on all things design and blogging. The two-day workshop was so beautifully styled and planned, it was like living in an issue of Martha Stewart Living.
The workshop was held at the picturesque Lange Farms, a Southern-style plantation with wrap-around porch, rustic barn, and towering oak trees. Sessions included design, photography, flower arranging, calligraphy, and small-business tips, then we had hands-on instruction for styling and shooting a mock wedding. There was even a horse!
I was honored to be included amongst these talented ladies, and left the workshop so creatively inspired! You can see more pics from this gorgeous two-day event here, and find details on the next Bloom Workshop in San Clemente here.
Don’t you feel like spending the day on that porch with a big glass of sweet tea?!
Looks like it was an amazing weekend! Gorgeous shots! And you IN THAT DRESS! LOVE!
Can you please share a link or brand for the wedding dress?
Hi Susie!! I asked Michaela about it, and she's going to respond with info shortly! xo
Hi Susie! It's Elizabeth Dye. We actually own it and are going to be selling it. If you're interested, please email me! hello@michaelanoelledesigns.com

Thank you both very much!!
What a stunningly beautiful place! xx
What a beautiful place! You and Jen are so cute!
you and Jen…separated at birth.
LOL…what a huge compliment!! I think she's about as cute as they come!! xo
So dreamy! Just stop it with that horse! Oh my goodness….
Wow! It looks so beautiful and elegant! Thanks for sharing.
You and Jen could be sisters, you both have the same zest for combining outfits and you both look great in bright pink lipstick. What a fun event. I'd love to learn how to put together flowers like that.
How fun! What a beautiful setting!
I seriously want that skirt! In all 3 colors. And I am NOT a skirt/dress girl, so that tells you how much I love it!! I think I'll start with the charcoal one and can wear it this fall! LOVE!!!
Cassie, you are seriously adorable and I have gotten much inspiration from you to mix and match things I already own…and make some new purchases. I am in love with Jen's striped shirt and floral skirt, do you have any idea where she got them or where I could find similar items this season? Thanks!
Thanks so much!! Funny you say that, Jen was wearing my shirt! 🙂 It's from Old Navy several years ago, and her skirt is an old J.Crew Factory…but I know you can find similar of both at J.Crew Factory now!! xo
