Hi friends — and Happy Friday! Better yet, a long weekend Friday! Woot! It’s only the first week of school, and I’m already in need of a break. I’d better hit a groove soon, or it’s going to be a long year. Babygirl asked me yesterday how long until the next Summer break. We both almost cried to think it’s nine months away!
And what is it with long weekends that make projects come to mind? It’s like we have to use the extra day to get stuff done. I hope to have a lot of lounging…but of course some projects, too! Remember our Ikea Field Trip? Several things came home with us, including this ready-to-assemble monster. Yes, it takes up the entire junk bedroom.
Any ideas what it is? Here’s a clue. Or maybe the floorplan from this post will jog your memory?
Since it’s from Ikea, assembling it could monopolize our entire extra day. Hope Mr. Sugarplum is up for the task, because this girl has about 5-minutes of patience.

We have that sectional and as far as Ikea furniture it wasn't too rough to put together. I think less than 2 hours.

poor Mr. Sugarplum- I dont envy him – its never pretty around here when it comes time to assemble something from Ikea. I usually leave and go shopping and try and stay out of the way.

Big plans are my favorite sort of plans. Lucky you to have a Mr. Sugarplum who will assemble for you… if I let my husband do it everything would be backwards and upside down, he'd be drenched in the sweat of frustration and yelling naughty words. Good luck! My weekend plans involve a jack hammer and hopefully some margaritas. Margaritas AFTER the jack hammer is returned, of course. Or margaritas while husband jack hammers and looks on in jealousy!

We love IKEA, just not the assembly after a trip there!! However, we are amazed by who thinks up that kind of stuff…pretty clever. Have fun and don't work too hard!
Yay! I can't wait to see it. We haven't had trouble with ikea set up, but we've only done dressers, desks, etc. A sectional may be a whole other story.. good luck! Have a fabulous long weekend!
My husband and I put up 6 Ikeas closet organizers in our master closet. Wow what a job!!!! We started at 7pm and didn't finish until 3am.
