Hi Sugarplum!

Big D!

March 22, 2012

Recently, the adorable and talented Emily Hewett, of A Well Dressed Home, and I were invited to the opening of a new shop in Dallas…BelAir Studio & Design. I was excited to spend the evening gazing at gorgeous home decor, but especially excited to see Emily’s home in person (she lives up the street from the new store)! Somehow, it’s even more gorgeous than her blog illustrates?!

This pic is actually from our last get-together…we totally forgot to snap a shot this time! Bad bloggers!

I spent a lot of time drooling over the nursery she’s designing for the impending arrival of her twin babies! She hasn’t revealed it all on her blog yet, so you’ll have to wait. We arrived at BelAir, a cute storefront tucked away in a trendy area on Greenville, expecting everything to be out of our price range. And while there were some beyond my budget, I was thrilled to find a few things that could actually come home with me!

It’s glam meets classic meets earthy, with mercury glass lamps, metallic-dusted cowhide rugs, and Lucite accessories, opposite a rough-hewn four-poster bed, woven baskets, and sturdy leather boxes and bins. I had my eye on the driftwood bowl and these large watercolors.

And of course a lot of time was spent near the cupcake table.

Check out all the scoop on our evening, and the gorgeous finds at BelAir Studio & Design, over on Emily’s blog, A Well Dressed Home, today. Thanks to Cynthia Smoot for the invite, and D Magazine for hosting a fun event.

***This is not a sponsored post, I just enjoy showcasing some of the locally-owned places in my hood!***

And if you want to see all our favorite Big D hangouts, check out my guest post at Natasha’s! I’m thrilled to take part in her Schue Travel Series!

You all are so pretty! And, I'm glad this wasn't from your last meet-up. I was wondering where her baby belly was 🙂
