Hello, hello, and happy hump day! We may not have officially started school, but summer break is essentially over around here. Little Miss is already back in volleyball practice, and Mr. College has been taking trips back and forth to campus. He’s renting a house with three other guys this year, so we’re entering yet another new season of college life! Wish me luck!
I’m sad to see the break come to an end, but excited for the return of routine. Especially since they’ll both be back in the classroom full-time for the first time in 17 months! I don’t even remember what it’s like to be home alone during the week, but I’m thinking my productivity will definitely improve, ha!
Today we’re talking all things beauty, and my makeup junkies are going to love it! The moment tarte introduced their new tartelette juicy palette, it became a fan favorite with y’all and me! So much so, it sold out in a hot second. Even my pro-friend Suzie Moldavon loves it so much, she’s used it exclusively on all of our GxHSP shoots since!
Y’all have been requesting a tutorial of looks with this beautiful and versatile palette, and today Suzie is delivering!
They’re known for their high pigment and incredible coverage (plus, the yummy smell!), but they’re also a clean, vegan, and cruelty-free brand made with high-performance naturals. The team at tarte formulates all of their products without parabens, phthalates, or sulfates.
The tartelette juicy palette is a 12-shade palette with the most romantic shades of pink and plum, plus a range of gorgeous neutrals! It has a mix of matte, pearlescent, and metallic finishes for a full range of day-to-night looks.
The Amazonian clay delivers maximum pigment and wear, that doesn’t crease or fade (even on the oiliest of lids!). These shades of pink are so flattering and fresh, with a youthful look. They have the perfect undertones to keep them from looking too sweet or juvenile. With both the pinks and taupes, the tartelette juicy is like two palettes in one!
Suzie used the tartelette juicy palette for both our Spring and Summer GxHSP shoots, and it’s become one of her top-used palettes in her kit for all her clients!
Sugarplum Tip: Suzie does recommend if you’re ‘mature’ like me, to use the shimmery shades on the lower lid rather than the crease. Shimmer in the crease can accent droopy or heavy lids.
We’ve done both pink and neutral looks with this palette, and loved them all!
I’m challenged when it comes to applying eye shadow, so Suzie created these easy-to-follow combos using the tartelette juicy palette just for us! Starting with these simple looks for day…
left: lower lid: Blossom // crease: Petal // lash line: Luscious
right: lower lid: Blossom // crease: Happiness
These three are a little more intense, perfect for night. I love that you can choose an all pink, all taupe, or a gorgeous combo of the two! So many options in this palette!
left: lower lid: Dream Chaser // inner corner: Paradise // center & crease blended: Orchid // liner: Euphoric
middle: lower lid: Shine // outer corner: Dusk // crease: Luscious // liner: Euphoric // brow bone: Reflect
right: lower lid: Dusk // crease: Orchid & Petal // inner corner: Paradise
