None of us is one-dimensional….we have so many layers, interests and passions….so I was really thrilled to hear you guys love the variety of topics I bring to the blog. I was especially surprised to know you love the style (& travel) posts as much as I do. Which is a good thing, because this is my favorite time of year for clothes and outfits, so I’ll keep them coming.
Today we’re talking about outfitting the kids. Specifically, for dressy occasions like weddings. My kids have mixed emotions about dressing up….they like the idea of it, but don’t like to be uncomfortable. And I don’t like spending a mint for clothes they’ll likely outgrow after wearing them twice!

Yep, Mr. SP is one of the kids. Maybe if they see I posted these they’ll be more compliant in the future! #muahahahaha I’m not really one to talk though, since I found this one. What’s going on here…am I smelling him?!

Do you have battles in your house when it comes time to dressing up? Do you have a favorite spot for finding affordable things quickly? I’ve got a very small window of time when it comes to shopping with these two cuties.

This post was sponsored by Nordstrom, but opinions and lovely evening spent with happy kids, are all mine. Thank you for supporting Hi Sugarplum sponsors!
Oh my goodness! Your kids. YOUR KIDS! So freaking adorable! And you and your hubby…eeks! Such a beautiful family!! Loved every single one of these pictures!
They are adorable! They are growing up way too fast!!!
When did J & S get so grown?!?!? I'm with you, I don't want to spend a fortune on clothes a kid outgrows in the blink of an eye…LOVE their outfits. And yours & the Mr.'s! I scrolled thru hoping beyond hope there was one of him in a suited-up lunge.
Wondering if I can squeeze myself into an XL of that girl's chevron dress…..
I love your pink dress in this post! Such a fun color.
I love that your kids are "willing" to dress up when necessary! I have two boys and it becomes a challenge to find things they will wear, especially dress shoes.
"Am I smelling him?" Dying laughing!!
I love the outtake pics!
I love this!! I love that your kids are incorporated into your blog! Question: What camera do you use? All of your pictures are fantastic!!

Okay, I've thought it a million times but never commented…your husband totally reminds me of Sarah Richardson's assistant, Tommy (physical attributes only, of course)! 😉
'Good for twirling' is still one of my requirements in dresses 😉
