It may be the most wonderful time of the year, but the holiday months also seem to be the messiest around our house! We’re lugging in bins from the garage and attic, unpacking flocked trees, tracking in leaves and mud… and don’t get me started on the dogs!
I love those sweet pups, but keeping up with the hair and dirt that comes with having dogs is an everyday chore. We have beautiful dark hardwood floors, and wowza do they show every last hair and specks of dust! Honestly, it makes me a little crazed, so it’s not uncommon for me to pull out my Dyson twice a day!
I switched from the old school plug-in vacuum a couple of years ago after y’all raved about your Dyson Cordless Stick Vacs, and I’ll never go back! We recently upgraded to a more powerful version, the Dyson V8 Absolute, and it makes me as happy as tacos!
The powerful v8 motor of the Dyson V8 Absolute works beautifully for both carpets and hardwoods, with up to 40 minutes with every charge. It’s cordless and lightweight, making it easy to move from room to room, and comes with six different attachments for virtually every surface, nook, and cranny of your house.
And you don’t have to be handy with gadgets to figure it out, either! Set-up is quick and simple, and the attachments easily interchange. Even emptying the bin is a breeze! It’s also certified asthma and allergy friendly, trapping allergens inside the machine, and actually expelling cleaner air! I honestly can’t go a day without using it.
The Dyson V8 Absolute quickly transitions to handheld for cars, stairs, and furniture, too.
This model is super powerful, but also light enough to lift overhead for ceilings, corners, and window coverings. It’s honestly fun to see everything it picks up! No one complains about vacuum duty with this one!
The streamlined docking station takes up minimal space and keeps the vacuum charged and ready to go.
The Dyson V8 Absolute means I no longer fret over the inevitable messes that come with a busy household of kids and pets! I can honestly say it’s the one home appliance I can’t live without (even more than my beloved coffee maker!). What is your Number 1 home gadget? I know a lot of you will say the Dyson Vacuum… afterall, you’re the ones who convinced me to switch in the first place! Which model do you have?
Dyson also offers a 30-day money back guarantee, free 2-day shipping, and even price-matching to any major retailer! Plus, they’re offering great deals on these models.

I am a huge fan of Dyson stick vacuums… we have one on each level of our home and use them often. Great on every surface and so easy to use! Thanks for reminding me… I need to go vacuum the living room rug before our guests arrive! 😂
Ha! At least it’s kind of almost enjoyable with such an awesome vacuum! xo, Cassie
I just ordered a Dyson! I’m so excited. 😂
Woo hoo! They are so amazing! xo, Cassie
Where do you get your rugs, they’re adorable!!!!
They are all from several places!
But the leopard rug in the entryway is here (and 25% off!): https://shopstyle.it/l/bbknv
And the purple on in the living room is here, in various sizes: https://shopstyle.it/l/bbknM
Both of these happen to be from Nordstrom, but I have rugs in my house from Macy’s and Rugs USA, too! xo, Cassie
Hello! Quick question- I searched through the Dyson website and couldn’t find the answer. Maybe they can weigh in here.
I did use your link and purchase the vacuum, it looked like it could perfectly replace our 9 year old vacuum.
The question is this- It looks like this cord free vacuum is powered by battery that is rechargeable. Inevitably a battery only has so many charges in it’s life before it’s dead permanently. So 1) how many charges will this battery last in it’s life (and then if it takes 40 min a day to vacuum, that can translate into how many days/years this battery will last). 2) when the battery inevitably will no longer hold charge, is it possible to purchase a new battery replacement? Or is the whole unit then tossed in the garbage? I’m into the concept I just want to make sure it can go the distance for use. Otherwise, regardless of how good it is it’s cheaper over years to buy a corded unit. Thanks in advance!
Hi Brooke! I found the following on the Dyson website: “Only by using genuine Dyson parts are you ensuring that your machine continues to work as intended, and that your warranty remains intact. In addition, each part or tool is guaranteed for 12 months.”
And, each battery-powered vacuum has parts and accessories for sale on the website, batteries included. So you may purchase just the battery.
I haven’t had any trouble with my first Dyson! xo, Cassie
I have to replay my Dyson Animal which recently died after 5 years. It is my second Dyson. How does this compare to the corded Dyson? I worry the canister is too small. I don’t want to have to empty it after every room.
I only have to empty mine once a week or so!!
Great! Thanks so much. Excited for a non hairy house and a vacuum that doesn’t smell like 9 years of lab hair. 🤮
You’re welcome! I feel that pain too. I know you will love this vacuum!!! – Cassie
Hi — I just ordered a second stick vacuum with this sale — best prices I’ve seen. Hoping having one on each floor of our apartment will increase usage.
One of my favorite (not cheap) accessories is the Mini Motorized Tool. We have four cats and carpeted stairs. It really gets everything up including from the corners.

So funny, when I saw this post I had just hung mine up after cleaning up after my chewing-things-to-bits 8 mo old puppy for the second time that morning. I have the V8 too (purchased a few months ago, refurbished, from the Rack). I’ve been shocked by how powerful it is – I feel like it’s been sucking up a year’s worth of dirt that my other vac was leaving behind!! It’s so convenient for everyday quick pick-up, but def does not replace my corded stand-up vac. It does the job as well if not better, but obviously doesn’t hold a charge long enough to do the whole house, and honestly my hand gets tired from holding the trigger. That’s my only complaint about it – I wish it had a feature that would keep it running without holding the trigger the whole time. Other than that, it is truly my new favorite household appliance!!
Hi Mary! Maybe someone smart can invent a “trigger holder” – that would be awesome! Thanks so much for reading! xo, Cassie
Hi Cassie. I love your blog and value your input on items. I just bought my first dyson stick vac and am loving it! One quick question. Do you leave yours plugged into the charger all the time? Seems like I read somewhere a warning about not overcharging it and wondered if this would make it overheat.
I’m so happy to hear you love yours, too!! I leave it on the charger at all times between uses and we’ve never had any issues!
