Hi Sugarplum!

A Doctor’s Pad

February 16, 2015

I know Neil Patrick Harris has starred in many successful shows, but he’s still Doogie Houser, MD, to me. Just like Mario Lopez is still Slater, Jennie Garth is Kelly Taylor, and George Clooney is Dr. Doug Ross. Apparently I watched a lot of TV in the 90s.

I find it fascinating to peek inside celebrity’s homes…not in a creeper way, but I’m curious as to how people with unlimited budgets decorate. Most people create their homes using what they have, and what their means allow…for us that means a lot of inherited pieces and paint! But for the wealthy celebrity, who can choose any home, and change anything and everything about it…I love to see what choices they make.

This month’s Architectural Digest toured Doogie, pardon me, Neil Patrick Harris’s New York ‘town home’ he shares with his darling husband, and adorable twins. He also has two dogs…now I love him even more!

If the price tag was never an issue, how would you decorate your home? What’s your favorite part of their home? I’m crazy for the bathroom, and love the bunk beds in the kid’s room.

Check out more celebrity home tours here.

And it wouldn’t be a US holiday without big sales, so you might want to check these out today:

Gap – take 40% your entire order with code WINTER. I’m itching to try these distressed black jeans.

Old Navy – entire site on sale, with additional 20% off too. I love this utility jacket, and thrilled they brought my favorite sandals back from last year.

J.Crew Factory – up to 50% of everything, plus an additional 10% off with code LOTSTOLOVE…hello darling leopard shorts and pink plaid shirt!

Nordstrom – final week of the clearance sale…this dress is available in six colors for only $27, this cozy tunic has perfect reviews and is 40% off, and this color of the infamous kitten-cardi is $20!

The bathroom is my favorite in that amazing home! If money were not an issue, my focus would be on quality rather than more stuff. How wonderful to have quality decor and appliances that last forever and ALWAYS do what they are supposed to! I try to do that when I can now, because it drives me nuts when cheap things break, look shabby etc before they should.

I loved their hollywood hills home and this one is just as amazing. My fav room is the office/study. Doesnt get much better than a chesterfield and good gallery wall. Thanks for sharing.
