You know I take my packing very seriously… and live by the carry-on-only policy whenever possible. These clear bags recently replaced my older style, not only for their expandable bottom that allows for more storage, but the extra-sturdy zipper, too.
I love being able to separate products by hair, skincare, and makeup, plus more for chargers, snacks, and more. The shape is so easy to pack, and they fit in all the nooks and crannies of my bags.

You guys… LOOK AT MY GIRL!!! Her volleyball pics came in, and all I could think was, ‘Thank you Lord for this girl!!’ She is unbelievably strong and resilient, and we are so thankful to see her beaming! I couldn’t love her more, or be prouder of the human she’s becoming.

Cover Me in Sunshine (Tienda Hats) //
You know I loooove my packable hat from Amazon (find it HERE)… mine has held up like a champ for years, holding its shape and still as stylish as ever. (And the price?! Hello, steal!) But I’ve been eyeing these colorful Sunshine Tienda hats for ages, and finally caved (thanks to an Instagram ad that came curiously close to our Mexico trip!?).
The colorful bands are just so fun, and the hardest part was choosing which one I loved most! Definitely pay attention to the measurements, because they come in a range of sizes… I erred on the side of smaller, and I wish it fit a little lower and looser on my head. But I’m still smitten!

I’m always looking for ways for our family to drink more water, and I finally found the magic trick!! Hint Water!! It’s purified water, but with just the slightest essence of fruit… so it’s super refreshing with a hint of flavor. But somehow has no added flavors, sweeteners, or calories!

An SPF a Day Keeps the Wrinkles Away //
Several of you asked how we manage sunscreen in a carry-on bag with TSA liquid restrictions, and my answer is two-fold! First up…TSA Pre Check is worth its weight in gold! As long as my liquids each fall within the parameters, I stuff all my bags with whatever we need and it passes without having to unpack.
The other great trick is using Supergoop Glow Oil, Glow Stick, and Glowscreen. I buy the larger size oil, and simply refill the travel size before each trip. The Glow Stick is great for noses, lips, and random spots, and the Glowscreen not only has great protection, but gives a lovely glow. Plus it comes in the perfect travel-friendly size!

Hey there! I love the idea of that awesome hat clip magnet for traveling! Finally a way to take them with me and not have them get crushed in my bags!! Where do you put the hats when you’re on the plane? Do they fit under the seat with your tote without getting too knocked around? Or overhead? Love it! Can’t wait to buy!
Hi Mimi! Yes it’s such a good idea! I don’t put them in the overhead bin unless there is room on either side of my suitcase. They fit under the seat in front of me with my duffle bag just fine! xo, C
Hi there! Of the tropical tops, did you have a favorite between the left and the right one? I wasn’t sure if the left one would feel binding on the arms (I have a little thicker forearms and I’m a little bigger than you)? Is that why you said you wished you had a bigger size in that one?
Hi Amber! Yes…the left one has smocking on the arm that’s a little tighter, so I would prefer a size up so it’s a little looser and doesn’t ride up my arm so easily. The top on the right has a thin, fairly loose elastic band that is just strong enough to give it a little shape.
