It’s hard to believe, but our last day of school is next Friday! My kids have always been blessed by the very best teachers, and I’m beyond grateful, humbled, and indebted to them for what they do and give. I love to surprise them with small gifts throughout the year, and again on the last day.
Hopefully I’ll have time to make something next week, but if not, a thoughtful hand-written note containing a gift card goes a long way. I rounded up some of my favorite simple DIY gifts for your end-of-school inspiration.
The Salted Chocolate Pretzel snack is always a crowd-pleaser, and would be cute packaged in the etched jar. What’s your favorite teacher gift to give…or for the teachers, what do you love to receive?
Ah, yes. The salted caramel pretzel toffee. Remember when you gave some to me for Christmas, I ate it in the car, and then I told you how I emerged from my car with chocolate all over my shirt and I somehow blamed it on Carter? Good times.
My mom taught for over 30 years. She loved Starbucks and movie theater gift cards – the summer was the only season she had time to go to those places!!
Both of those vases are adorable! We already gave our teacher gift, but I might have to make one with my son for his grandma for all she does!

You had to put that pretzel bark on there during swimsuit season, didn't you? I'd forgotten about it! I'm pretty sure it was the sole reason I gained weight at Christmas! Soooo good!
All great ideas! I do miss creating things like that for my girls teachers. Your kiddos have some very lucky teachers 😉
I referred a friend to your blog a few weeks ago because she needed teacher gift ideas. Our schools got out a week and a half ago (but don't be jealous because school starts in July – its a trade-off). You're always full of fun ideas.
wow! you are so crafty!! I'm definitely pinning the scramble coasters… i think it would be a great bridal shower gift! thanks for the great ideas.
I'm a parent and a teacher. My son's teacher is getting a cute pitcher and tumbler set for all of the beverages needed after she taught a year of kindergarten and his specials teachers like PE, music, etc. are going to get a small gift card to the frozen yogurt shop in our area. My favorite things to receive as a teacher are gift cards (especially to Target!) and jewelry- not expensive stuff but some cute and colorful. I have many necklaces and bracelets from students over the years and wearing them always brings back sweet memories. As a PSA, I would like to stop receiving mugs. I don't even drink coffee yet receive 3+ a year. Have a happy summer!
Cute ideas!
I make these cute tumblers every year and I throw in a Target gift card. http://everydaysavvy.com/affordable-iced-tea-cup-teacher-appreciation-or-year-end-gift-with-free-printable-tag/
