Sweater Weather

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! I’m speaking at a workshop for fellow small business owners today, and I’m equal parts excited and anxious! On one hand, I’m thrilled to share whatever insight I can offer to other women, but it’s also my first semi-social setting in over nine months!!

It’s a small group, in a large room, with masks and social distancing, so it’s definitely going to be different. I might actually wear heels! Although, can you imagine how mad my feet will be after a year of nothing but sneakers and memory foam slippers, ha!

Today I’m excited to share some fun and easy winter styles, featuring the cutest under $50 sweater you’ll want in every color! In fact, I’ve got it in three… pink, gray and black. It was a favorite find last year, and when I saw it back, I couldn’t resist adding another. It’s crazy soft and cozy, with good stretch and the perfect relaxed fit.

Why yes I do wear my white jeans year round… and so should you! They make everything from colorful brights to neutral basics look so fresh and classic. The key is pairing them with a neutral, lighter shoe (I stick with leopard, taupes, and lighter browns for the most part).

You may recall these leopard flats from my Wish List… turns out Mr. SP reads my blog! They have a quilted insole that feel like walking on clouds! Seriously, it’s like you’re wearing slippers, rather than super-chic leopard flats!

Fit Tip: Shoes are true to size, as is the sweater (I’m in an XS)

I paired it with a few of Kendra Scott’s new Winter pieces, just in time for Valentine’s Day! The hearts are such a fun shape for year round, but especially cute this season.

For a second look, I paired this darling sweater with a relaxed fit jean and sneaker for a more casual, sporty style. These jeans have made several appearances here in the last several months, they’re just so comfortable!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS sweater, and sized up one in the jeans for a more relaxed, forgiving fit. Size up in the sneakers.
