Hi Sugarplum!

Summer of Style | 03

June 26, 2019

Happiest of hump days, my friends! Thank you so much for all the encouraging words on my post yesterday! It feels like I’ve been moaning about this impending college thing for ages, and I so appreciate you supporting me through it!

I love sharing style, travel and more here, but this is also my own outlet and personal diary of sorts, so it’s impossible to leave my personal life and emotions out of it. Y’all are always so encouraging and have the best advice and experience to share! I love this community so much and am grateful for each of you.

Today I have an easy and fun Summer of Style for you…and it’s under $50!

Racerback Tank Dress | Strappy Heels | Similar Clutch | Ring | Cuff

Under $50 dresses are my jam, especially flirty little numbers that are easily dressed up and down. This fun racerback has a cute flounce hem and pretty floral print.

Pair it with strappy heels and clutch for a sassy night out, or throw it on with sandals and a jean jacket for casual day.

Fit Tip: It’s true to size, I’m wearing an XS. This Nubra is my go-to for racerback styles.

I reach for dresses even more as the weather heats up…even more than shorts! What about you? Are you a dress girl, too? Nordstrom is my go-to source for dresses for all occasions, but I’m partial to the under $50 category!

I’m seeing this royal/navy blue everywhere. Furniture, leather, painted walls, etc. Blue is the new black. I like!

I know it’s completely out of the question, but I sure do wish you could do a tutorial of the Nubra!! haha Mine is nearly warn out, just by the million times I’ve tried to apply it correctly 😉 Also, I reach for dresses more than shorts, and this one is so pretty!
Thank you, for all you do!! It’s so appreciated <3

Haha!! I totally thought that before…I wish I could show you how I wear it!! I’ll do my best to describe:
      1. Hold the cups in each hand (there is a faint logo on them to indicate which side is ‘up’)
      2. Bend over and place them on your boobs, spacing them wide (it will feel ‘off’), and angle the clips a little towards your neck
      3. Stand up and pull the cups up and together & clip.
      4. Give them a good press to make sure they’re firmly in place.

It takes a few tries to get it right and feel comfortable. Placing them wider and angling up allows you to get some lift when you clip them together! I hope this helps! xo. C

Oh thank you!! The angle of the clips, may be where I’m going wrong! Fingers crossed!!
        Thanks again <3

Love this! Oh gosh – my boys are only 7 and 10 and I get a funny twisted feeling in my tummy when I think of them going off into the world. I know we raise them for this but I hate knowing they let go of us far before we let go of them. And the main reason I’m writing – I just saw they are using you for the model on Amazon for the ANRABESS jumpsuit! Surprised me! LOL “hey I know her”… (Well no, I just read her blog!)

Ugh…I saw that!! I’ve tried to get them to remove it, since I’m not actually wearing their romper and they don’t have permissions. So funny that people still recognize it’s me, even with a cropped head!! 🙂 xo. C

I have an only child and we were so sad when she left us and went four hours away to college. I was excited for her but felt like I wasn’t “done” parenting her and it seemed so final. We gradually adjusted and her enthusiasm for college and her major was contagious. We could see her making good decisions and maturing. (Not that there weren’t tearful phone calls and texts to pray for her for tests and finals) We blinked and the four years flew by and she came back home to attend grad school and live with us again. God will truly prepare your heart and stretch it all the way to Oklahoma and back!

I kept telling myself, other people do this…Surely I can too.

LOVE the blog. OBSESSED with the clothes.
