Cheers to Friday, friends, and the weekend ahead! Our kids start school Monday, so we’re in major prep mode this weekend. And hopefully getting to bed earlier than usual, to make the first morning a little easier. I always intend to slowly move their schedule back in the weeks leading up to school…but it never quite happens. Oh well, they’ll be back in the swing soon enough!

Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. I hope they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things. These are all from our recent beach trip to Anna Maria, so be prepared for lots of summer inspiration!
It’s a quick flight from Dallas to Tampa, but I still opted for comfort with stretchy jeans and a soft tee. This oversized market tote was the perfect carry-on for my laptop, etc (see the contents of my carry-on bag here), and doubled as my beach bag upon arrival.
Fit Tip: The jeans are soft and stretchy with hidden pockets. Both jeans and tee are true to size, I’m wearing XS and 26.

I never met a striped tee I didn’t love, and this one took it next-level with a pink ringer collar!! It’s super soft and a little oversized. Also, be prepared for lots of #beachhair. I don’t pack a hairdryer or curling iron for these trips!

I shared a fun one-piece swimsuit in yesterday’s Summer of Style post…no one makes them better than J.Crew! This french-tie top is of my favorite two-pieces…it’s an adjustable fit with lots of support. I wear it when we’re extra-active on the beach and in the water. Plus, it’s just cute!
Fit Tip: I size up one in two-pieces, and am wearing smalls in both pieces.

I shared this knit romper in my first Amazon Haul post last month, and it made the perfect cover-up, as well as easy throw-on outfit with sandals. The inseam is a little longer for extra length.

This jersey knit tank dress is equally cute and comfy. It feels like pajamas, but easily transitions from a swim cover-up to chic dress for dinner out. It has a racerback shape and longer length. It comes in 9 colors and now 40% off!
Fit Tip: I’m in an XS, but if you’re in-between, I’d size down.

Another top from my Amazon Haul…how is this darling embroidery under $20?! I paired it with some old pink shorts for a colorful, easy look.

Another day, another swimsuit! I love this ruffle top so much, I have it in both navy and white. It’s fully-lined with removable cups, which provide lots of coverage and support. It’s great for active days by the beach or pool, too. (No wardrobe malfunctions with this one!)

This jean skirt is just as comfy and versatile as my favorite cut-off shorts, but taken up a notch. And this striped tee has been a go-to for several years now…I love it almost year-round (it’s super cute under a military jacket!).

I rarely sleep in, even on vacations. Which means quiet mornings all to myself! This was my work view all week, and I loved starting my day here, in these soft pajamas. (I’ll share the link to this rental in my recap post soon!)

Remember this flattering-on-everyone swimsuit I shared last month? I have received countless selfies of ya’ll in the suit, and everyone agrees it’s a stunner. Which is even crazier give the price!!

Pink and gingham forever. Seriously…my fave color and my fave pattern. This shirt is lightweight, but not sheer, and so cute worn untucked, tucked, and knotted.

Is there anything better than a jersey knit swing dress on a hot summer day? I throw them on over my swimsuit, or with sandals for a casual day. This one is as soft as your favorite pajamas, but not sheer or overly thin (in black anyway).

I’ve been wearing this racerback tank dress for years…my collection is up to three now. It’s just so chic and effortless, and so cute with sandals, flip-flips and sneakers. I wear it most over my swimsuit.
