We’re home from our first official college campus tour, and I think it was a successful one! Our son loved the school, and is now excited for this process. We’ve already got more visits planned for the upcoming long weekends, so hopefully they’re all as fun and easy as this first one.
It’s a quick stopover at home for me though, as I’m headed back out tonight for the Bloom Bash Workshop! I’m excited to be speaking with Megan on one of the panels tomorrow, and it’s sure to be an overload of eye-candy, so follow along on Instagram.
Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. My hope is that they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.
And friends, the weather has been a mixed bag of Summer, and wanna-be Fall…so the outfits are all over the place, starting with this jacket and sandal combo. I adore booties, but they are usually the last addition to my Fall wardrobe…I just hang on to open-toe shoes as long as possible. Plus, I love these sandals so much, so I want to squeeze every last wear out of them! These cargos have been a great transition pant, too. I love the soft material, and the color is perfect for all seasons.

I see a trend in my Fall transition style…long sleeve tees with jeans and sandals. I’ll keep it up as long as possible, too!
This v-neck pullover came in handy for chilly nights in Sedona…it’s got a relaxed fit, and soft cotton blend.
This short-sleeve sweater and jacket was perfect for a quick trip to NYC with cool morning and a warm afternoon. The sweater is soft enough to wear alone, but the stripes are so cute for layering (especially with camo!). The slip-on sneakers were comfy for a long day of walking, too.
Spending the day with fellow Stylemakers (more to come on this!) requires a cute outfit #amiright?! I opted for my fave pleated skirt paired with preppy plaid, and a little bling.
I can’t believe I hit the sweater-jackpot so early in the season with this one!! The material is so soft and thick and the neck perfectly relaxed. It has a side-slit and slight high-low hem too, so it’s cute worn untucked with jeans. The second I tried it on, I immediately ordered another in black. Trust me, it’s a good one, friends!
Fit Tip: It’s true to size, I wear an XS.
Comfy and casual for a long day of travel in this super-soft pullover top (it’s a thin fleecy material, but not sheer), and slip-on sneakers. The top is so cozy, I wear it as pajamas, too.
This dress can take you from sweats to date night in under a minute! I’m convinced it has magical powers and looks amazing on so many types of figures. The ruching disguises, while also creating an hourglass shape, and the asymmetrical hemline elongates the legs. Not to mention, it’s cotton, so it’s incredibly comfortable!
Fit Tip: I sized up to a small for a less body-con fit.
I was grateful for this new turtleneck on the chilly mornings in Sedona! Obviously the ivory goes with everything, but I love how rich it looks paired with cognac. And can we talk about my new Barrington tote for Fall? It’s strikingly similar to the Louis Vuitton print, right?! I customized it with an ‘Oxblood and Crimson’ stripe and their new blonde leather trim. (Use code SUGARPLUM10 for 10% off your total order!)
That soft v-neck that doubles as pajamas? Yep, I have it in black, too. And it’s darling with booties and a leopard scarf!
I don’t usually spend my workday on a video set with JCPenney, but I jumped at the chance to work with them again recently. And loved my wardrobe, which was head-to-toe JCP (if you can believe it!).
This post was more of a sale alert than outfit…but both pieces are amazing, and worth noting they’re 40% off!
Oh hey, here’s that magic ruched dress again…this time in black, and paired with the softest long cardigan. It was perfect for a night on Broadway! (We saw Hello, Dolly, and ohemgee Bette Midler!!!)
Fit Tip: I sized up to a small in the dress for a more relaxed fit, but the cardigan runs large, so size down. I’m wearing an XXS in it.
That’s it for today, I hope you found some new outfit inspiration, and fresh ideas for mixing things up in your closet!
