Sugarplum Style, Vol. 42

Cheers to Friday, friends! It’s an extra-special day around here, since our precious Little Miss turns 11! I can hardly believe it, and I’m equal parts devastated to see these years flying by, and excited to see the young lady she’s becoming. Like we talked about last week, parenting is not for sissies!

Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. My hope is that they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.

I’ve got some fun occasions coming up, so I’ve been on the lookout for great dresses, and this one just became my favorite #LBD ever! It’s a sturdy crochet-lace overlay, with a solid bodice and adjustable straps for a perfect fit. The lace cut-out keeps the midi length from looking dowdy, or overwhelming my frame with fabric. It’s just about as chic and sassy as a dress gets…and even better, is it’s under $90!! I might have already ordered it in white. #Idid

Fit Tip: It runs true to size and I’m wearing an XS. The snug, sturdy bodice also provides me with enough support that I don’t need to wear a bra. The straps are adjustable, but I don’t know that they’d accommodate really large chests.

Ruffles, tassels and poms…hello, Spring! These have been my go-to white jeans for awhile, but stay tuned next week for another option I’m in love with, too!

Fit Tip: The jeans stretch quite a bit, so size down one. And who doesn’t like wearing a smaller size!?

Clearly I have a uniform emerging. I think maybe my Spring goal will be to wear a ruffle, pom or tassel with every outfit. #challengeaccepted

We’ve had more warm days than cool….so I’m declaring it officially sandal season! These fringe cuties are the perfect neutral, and add so much fun to casual outfits. (Last seen styled here!)

Fit Tip: Sandals are true to size, but if you’re in-between sizes, I’d go down half. (Meaning they run just a tad big, but not big enough for me to size down.)

Casual date night out in this easy off-the-shoulder top and peep-toe booties! These jeans are the perfect ankle length for wedges, heels and sandals!

Fit Tip: Top is true to size (and on sale!), but size down in the jeans.

This one-shoulder top has been a crowd-favorite recently, and I have to agree! It’s a little big on me, so I’m actually hoping it shrinks in the wash!

This one-shoulder dress is perfect for Easter…now let’s just hope the Texas weather cooperates! The colors and fit are so beautiful, and it’s currently on sale!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a regular 2 and it falls to my knee.

This is how I like to do jeans and a tee! I love the sweet eyelet ruffle sleeve paired with the frayed hem jeans. Both are insanely soft, too!
