Cheers to Friday! What do you have planned for the weekend? We’ve got soccer games, a birthday party, and my son’s first big social event. He’s escorting the sweetest girl to her cheerleader banquet, and I’m already worried I’ll embarrass them both with my tears and excessive number of photos. I’m just so proud of that young man!! #gulp
Thanks for the love on our Laundry Room plans! I came home from work yesterday and the dryer was still running…from when I’d left at 9 that morning! So apparently the timer has gone out, along with the heating coil. I think it’s time. #rip
Today it’s your monthly dose of Sugarplum Style…snapshots of my everyday outfits I post to Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing-and-matching items in my closet. And thanks to a recent blogger conference, I upped my style game on a few of them.
I love mixing stripes as long as they have varying widths, so it was all kinds of striped love this day. My military vest is perfect for those kinda-chilly days.
I love the handkerchief hem of this breezy dress, and the vibrant blue. I like to be a little more covered up this time of year, so the cute strappy back will have to wait for Summer. And can we talk about how leg-lengthening these nude wedges are?! And comfy, too! #Imaynevertakethemoff I’ll show you more of this dress soon, and expect to see the wedges a lot!
Fit Tip: The dress is plenty roomie, and I’m wearing an XS. Wedges are true to size, as well.
This ruched dress is made of thick knit and feels like your favorite tee…again I keep it a little more covered for the cool Spring days with my go-to military jacket.
Fit Tip: Size up on the dress for a relaxed fit (like I did), or stay true to size for a body-conscious fit.
Military Jacket | White Tee | Favorite Jeans (size down 2!)
Tassel Crossbody | Sandals (similar)
I’m slipping a few home shots in this Instagram roundup, but when your most-asked-about rug is restocked, you have to spread the word!
Pairing stripes and florals has to be my all-time favorite pattern mix. Plus, the skirt gave me an excuse to wear my darling pink sandals!
We’ve had a few pretty chilly days (by Texas standards) in the past month, so I just swap my sandals for booties, and add a light jacket or vest.
Bring on the rain! Seriously…get yourself some colorful rain boots, and rainy days take on a whole new perspecitve!
This pic was from my 1 Console | 3 Ways post, but I had to repost to Instagram when the uber-popular console table was finally restocked!
Is your weather as crazy as ours? I can literally be in boots one day, and shorts and sandals the next. But I’m not complaining…it gives me the opportunity to rotate all my favorites!
Mock Neck Swing Top | Jean Jacket | Favorite White Jeans
Nude Wedges | Watch | Monogrammed Bag
Most nights I plan my outfit around the amount of food I plan on eating…in this case, I planned on eating a lot! This is one of my stand-by dresses, and I love that the neckline is so flattering, but the body forgiving enough for dessert. #priorities
I hope these posts inspire you to create new combinations from your closet! The key isn’t to have more clothes, but to mix up what you do have in new and different ways. Except these white jeans and these wedges, you need those. #trustme #enabler

You look great in that black dress. I might have to finally break down and get it for myself! And I love that pink military jacket as well! So many cute outfits this week!
Happy Friday, Cassie! Yes, our weather has certainly been all over the place, but I think I'd prefer this to the heat wave we all know is coming (hello 100+ degree days). I love your garden party dress and that floral pencil skirt!
As always I love your style. I think my favorite outfit is the striped top, floral skirt and pink sandals. Is that striped top linked the one you have? Ive been eyeing it and one from boden. And your rain boots are cute! I need a new pair… Mine are horrible uncomfortable.
Pleeeaasse if your dryer really was running all day stop using it… Dryers can cause house fires. 🙂
Thank you, friend!! My striped top is an old one from J.Crew Factory, but the one I linked is very similar, and by a trusted brand. I actually have one similar that's solid pink by them, and love it! xo
I mean…everything is so cute! When are we having lunch together? I need some Cassie in my life. Like now.
loving that swing dress! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
I really want to pull the trigger on a Barrington bag but was curious if you had a coupon code to share with us!! I love your style Cassie!
Yes!! I just checked with them, and they said you could still use SUGARPLUM10 for 10% off your order!! xo
I love your style! I'm so not stylish. Even if I had a bigger clothes budget I just don't have your magic 🙂 thanks for the tips though.
Thanks so much, Laura!! I hope you get some inspiration from these posts for creating looks from your own closet! xo
I love your style! I'm so not stylish. Even if I had a bigger clothes budget I just don't have your magic 🙂 thanks for the tips though.
I'm dying over the first picture – the white and black striped Jcrew factory dress. What size are you wearing?? The reviews are so mixed!
I'm wearing and XS and really really like it!! xo
Those first nude sandals…. they come in apricot or auburn ….. I am assuming yours are the lighter ones which is the apricot??
Thanks as always!
🙂

For me, the apricot was closer to my skin tone, so it looks the most 'nude'…know what I mean? xoxo
Definitely a steal on that adorable boutique dress! I am super excited you posted the restocked console table…I've been keeping an eye out.
Seriously all those outfits are SO cute! Mixing strips and floral are my favorite too! I've been wanting a military jacket, so thanks for sharing that!
xo, Kristina
Which of the gray colors do you have in that body-con dress? That's such a cute outfit (as they all are)!!
Thanks Kara!! I've had the dress for a couple of years, so I'm not exactly sure…but I think it's the med heather! xo
