Cheers to Friday, and a meaningful weekend ahead! We’re taking advantage of the holiday off, and having a Mother/Daughter/Granddaughter day to celebrate Little Miss’s birthday. I can hardly believe my baby girl will be 10 next week! #sob She’s a pretty big tomboy, so I was surprised she chose a girly day of hair, nails and lunch…but I’m all too happy to oblige! Plus, it will be so special to spend the day with just her and my mom…something we don’t do often enough.

Today it’s time for another Sugarplum Style…snapshots of my everyday outfits, created by mixing-and-matching items in my closet. And thanks to our sporadic weather and recent travels, it’s a mixed bag of layers and seasons!

I shared this perfect popover in the recent Dressing Room Diaries post. Usually I begrudgingly walk away from everything I try on (that whole putting food on the table nuisance), but this one had to come home. It will be in heavy rotation until next Winter, paired with shorts, pants, and skirts.

This was a favorite Date Night look from earlier this month…I just threw on a moto jacket when we were outside. The gathering makes the top special, especially paired with fun earrings and shoes.

Okay, so turns out two things came home with me from the latest Dressing Room Diaries. Well, three if you count this pink field jacket. #oops #itwaspink #howcouldInot? I had originally walked away from this pullover, because bills. But I couldn’t stop thinking about the pajama-soft material, and knew it would be perfect for our long flights. Mr. SP obliged me and picked it up the day we flew out! Paired with my favorite stretchy jeans, and boots that feel like slippers, I was one comfy traveler!

For the next two months, expect to see a field or denim jacket as the top layer of every outfit. Not only are they the perfect weight for these Spring temps, but add so much style! Oh, and the long-sleeved version of this dress is on super sale!

I always take pics of outfit combinations while I’m packing…it helps me whittle down to fewer pieces, and they’re nice to refer to when rummaging through my bag looking for something to wear. You can see this outfit in action here.

Cheers to the return of maxi season! You know I’m a fan…see how I wear them {Five Ways} here. But you just can’t beat them for days when it’s too warm for jeans, and too cool for shorts (or you opted not to shave your legs). I’m obsessed with this new one…it’s got a fun high/low hem, and it didn’t require hemming!! It’s midi-length on the model, which is great for you tall girls, and maxi length for the rest of us…and flattering for both! Expect to see it in a full style post soon!!
