I can’t thank you enough for your sweet comments and emails regarding our magazine feature! Your genuine excitement and support overwhelms me…and makes me wish we knew each other in ‘real life’! I have nothing but love and admiration for my fellow bloggers, and all women working towards their dreams, and feel so grateful to be part of this giving community!
Today is time for another Sugarplum Style…snapshots of my everyday outfits, created by mixing-and-matching items in my closet. Apparently as the weather heats up, my creativity with outfits cools down, and I find myself reaching for the same lightweight pieces over and over. It’s like the heat zaps my desire to even get dressed…I want to stay inside wrapped in my latest obsession!
Plaid is typically synonymous with Fall, but a bright-colored plaid in a lightweight cotton is just as cute paired with white in the warmer months. I love this one and this one, too.

I’ve been dying for this sold out, dog-embroidered cap for months…and finally my high-school stalking skills paid off! Don’t act like you weren’t a grade-A sleuth, too! Seriously, my friends and I were so good at hunting boys down, we could have found Bin Laden in under a week. #Imkidding

This maxi is so soft, it’s like wearing pajamas in public. It’s too hot for my favorite jean and utility jackets, so I’ve been wearing white and chambray shirts to combat the chilly air-conditioning. They add a cute layer, without a lot of bulk.

I hope these posts inspire you to create new combinations from your closet! The key isn’t to have more clothes, but to mix up what you do have in new and different ways.
