Spring Forward | Colorful Activewear Styles

Hey friends, how is your week going so far? I received my second vaccine yesterday, and I can’t explain the relief that comes with it! It’s like a hidden door has been opened, and I finally get to see what lies ahead. We’ll still continue to mask-up and follow all the guidelines, but the freedom to comfortably see our parents and friends again is such a treasure.

And just in time for Texas’ best season, too! Spring brings tons of sunshine and warmth, without all the high heat and humidity, so we head outside every chance we get. I’ve been doing mostly strength training classes via Zoom for the last few months, so I’m excited to start getting out for more cardio.

Today I’m sharing some colorful new activewear, perfect for kick-starting your Spring routine.

We’ve got plenty of sunshine, but still have chilly mornings, so a light jacket is a must. This color block jacket is lightweight and oversized, perfect for throwing on over tanks and tees. It also comes in a fun blue combo.

Fit Tip: It’s a relaxed fit, so I stuck with my usual size XS

Cotopaxi makes some of the cutest jackets and bags, but they also have fun pullovers and tees. I love the bright color and simple graphic of this sweatshirt.

I shared more on my crush with Cotopaxi HERE, I love supporting companies like Cotopaxi and Backcountry that are committed to giving back and helping others.

Fit Tip: Sweatshirt is fitted, definitely size up if you prefer a relaxed fit. I’m in a small, and would even prefer a medium

You know my love for Adidas Ultraboost runs deep, it’s the only shoe I exercise in… whether it be slow walks or high-intensity workouts, they give me the best, most comfortable support.

I recently replaced my old pair with this updated style, and in a fun new colorway. They’re a splurge, but your feet will thank you! (Mama Sugarplum won’t exercise in anything else, either!)

Fit Tip: I size down half

The cropped tank doubles as a sports bra for low-impact activities like walking and yoga. It’s super soft and stretchy, and perfect when paired with high-rise leggings.

Fit Tip: I size up in sports bras, this one included. I’m in a small.

Nothing motivates me to get moving more than a cute new outfit, and this one certainly does the trick! Backcountry is having a huge Spring Sale, with up to 30% off… like this Patagonia pullover, colorful board shorts for him HERE and HERE, and even a multi-season family tent!

I can’t recommend Backcountry and their Gearheads enough for dressing for any and all outdoor activities! And don’t forget, save 15% on your first order with code SUGARPLUM15.

Great workout outfits! I need to update my activewear. Can I ask how tall you are for sizing purposes? I’m usually an xs as well but I’m short!

Great outfits, loving all the colour.
So glad you are now fully vaccinated. I live in Canada and am in your age group and haven’t received one dose yet:( Hopefully in mid-May.
Looking forward to all the great summer posts. Best – Sandra
