While the big purchases can be nauseating exciting, it’s the small things that make my heart race. Little touches, like a new tea towel or basket planter, can make me smile when entering a room. And not having to save for months makes the purchase that much sweeter.
I haven’t been on the market for a magazine rack. In fact, it’s never occurred to me to get a magazine rack. But last weekend, Kelly and Amanda both posted InstaGram pics of their new Target magazine racks, and just like that, I needed a magazine rack!
This pretty faux-leather and brass goodie is on clearance at Target, and I was somehow lucky enough to find it. (I may or may not have dropped everything and gone the same day Kelly and Amanda posted theirs.) It’s currently out-of-stock online, but the site will show you nearby stores that still have them.
Now I’m wondering how I ever lived without this handsome magazine rack.
It’s almost like it was made for this corner of the Family Room. This spot has fast become my favorite in the house.
What items and small purchases are you smitten with these days? And speaking of magazines…did you see my sweet friend Courtney gracing the pages of House Beautiful!?! She’ll be in Big D next weekend, and I can’t wait to teach her the tricks of big Texas hair! Happy weekend, lovebugs!
The room is amazing Cassie! And yes, the magazine stand is perfect for it. LOL about Courtney. Katie hasn't been in Texas a few months and has already been working on her "bump".
Gah…why oh why don't we yet have a Target…damn- that rack is HOT!
That is the most sophisticated magazine rack I have ever see! Love it! š
Dare I say, that magazine rack is sexy!!! I'm so in love with this room.
I am in love with that room, too. And how sweet are you. Thanks for the shout out. Packing my teasing comb and mousse {do people still use mousse??}
SO pretty and it looks perfect in that spot! Great find!
Love the magazine! I saw it on insta, but it looks even better in your house! Have a great weekend Cassie!
Love it Cassie! I might have to go and stalk my Target now!
SUPER cute! Need to keep my eye out for that little man at my Tarjay!
It's cute! I haven't been to Target in awhile, but this makes me want to go soon!
and now i have to drop everything and go get it… love it!
If that is not exactly "curule" style, it is very close to it. And something I am desperate to have a touch of in my house. Either a table or a bench.
I'm always thrilled to hear nice.

Love the magazine rack, it's the nicest I've ever seen. My current purchase obsession is the Elfa system you used for your gift wrap organization. I purchased it and used it for a similar purpose. I linked back to you, hope you don't mind! You can see it here:

Dont you just love it! I love sitting in my chair and looking down & seeing it-its those little things. And so jealous you get to visit with Court! She is such a sweetie.
Isn't that fun? I always love when a new little accessory makes everything feel fresh, new, and my favorite all over again. It's beautiful!
Okay, that is gorgeous! I am going to have to check my favorite Target store and see if one's waiting for me today! š
Today, I randomly came across this magazine and scooped it up and it was on clearance for $10! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Cassie! I'm a new reader of your blog and I love it!! I've been browsing all over your site and would like to know what the brand is of this chair?? I'm a new home owner trying to furnish my place and love this chair and ottoman!!
Thanks in advance! š
Hi Emily! Your profile is set to private, so I'm not able to respond to your comment via email. š That chair belonged to my grandparents, so I have no store link for you…sorry I couldn't be of more help!! xo. Cassie
I love your blog and this room in particular. Where did you find the Botero? She is one of my favorites, but I can't find her.
I love this room! Where did you find the Botero print?
Thanks so much! We picked that print up at a little shop in Galveston, Texas called The Hendley Market.
