Hello, hello! First up…thanks so much for yesterday’s excitement about our Celebrate Summer restocks! Y’all didn’t waste any time scooping them up, and I’m thrilled so many of you were able to grab what you’d wanted. You can find all the restocks (and the discount code!) HERE.
Today I’m excited to share my latest Sephora Haul! Beauty, hair, and wellness have become popular topics here on Hi Sugarplum in the last year, and I’m thrilled you love chatting it up as much as me. I tend to stay extremely loyal to a product once I’ve fallen in love, but part of my job here is to find and share the latest and greatest… in both style and beauty.
So by popular request, Sephora Hauls have become a monthly series around here (see them all HERE), and I’m back this month with more… here’s the best of my Sephora Haul lately.
And if you’re a beauty junkie like me, make sure you’re a Sephora Beauty Insider (sign-up is free HERE!)… they offer exclusive deals and sales, along with bonus samples, rewards, and points with every purchase!
Sidenote: I tried these products several times before sharing with you, so these aren’t just first impressions!
Peace Out Acne Healing Dots //
I don’t break out often, but when I do… it’s a doozy! Usually the kind that like to hang around for days and days, and no amount of concealer can hide it. You know the ones, right?!
Enter Peace Out Acne Healing Dots! They’re like a concentrated dose of blemish cream that stays put… perfect for overnight treatment. The powerful ingredients help to draw out the bacteria, so the blemish is less red and ‘angry,’ while also drying it up faster. The key for me is putting them on early, so I’ll cover a blemish the moment I feel it coming on, and it’s almost-always gone the next day! (I put them on at night after my skincare routine, and sleep in it.)
They also act as a small band-aid, covering the blemish while it heals so you don’t pick it or accidentally scratch. Now I’m intrigued to try the Peace Out Pore Strips for blackheads!
Nécessaire The Deodorant //
My hunt for a more natural deodorant has spanned the last year and included several products. None I liked enough to buy a second time, and definitely not enough to recommend to you!
Until now!! I’ve finally found a natural deodorant that works for me! I’ve never tried Nécessaire products before, but know they have a fanatic following, so I took a chance on the new Nécessaire The Deodorant, and I’m so happy I did!
It’s a creamy formula that twists up and requires very little product. It goes on white and creamy, but dries after a few minutes to a clear powder texture, with a eucalyptus scent that reminds me of being in a spa. While no deodorant, natural or otherwise, is 100% effective through tough workouts or Texas heat, Nécessaire The Deodorant works as well as any non-natural deodorant I’ve ever used!
It took me a few applications to get the amount right (it comes out fast with more than you need, so just a small twist does the trick!), but I love how quickly it dries with no stickiness. Warning: It sells out quickly!
Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Scrub //
With it being shorts and swimsuit season, I’m all about getting that smooth skin glow… which means keeping my skin hydrated and exfoliated. The Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Scrub not only smells like vacation in a jar, but leaves skin super smooth and plumped, with no greasy residue.
The fine grit gently exfoliates, while also helping with firmness and loss of elasticity. Some reviewers claim it helps minimize the appearance of stretch marks, too! It’s packed with healthy ingredients like cupuaçu seeds to gently buff, and caffeine-packed Guarana, plus free of sulfates and parabens.
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand //
Little Miss is highlighter-obsessed… teens are all about that glow! She got me hooked on this little magic wand, and now it’s a battle to keep it in my bathroom drawers!
The Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand is a powdery gel formula that adds subtle glow and highlight anywhere you want, with a built-in, easy-to-use sponge tip applicator. I add a little to my cheekbone, down the bridge of my nose, and even my Cupid’s bow and the corners of my eyes.
The little sponge makes it so simple to add a little pop anywhere. Depending on the amount of product on the sponge, it does require a little blending, but I just use my finger.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder //
One of the biggest tips my friend and makeup pro, Suzie Moldavon, taught me is to steer clear of powders when possible because they can make ‘mature’ skin look more crepey. But in the middle of a hot Texas summer, sometimes a girl needs a little shine control!
She recommended Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder for its breathable and micro-fine powder technology to help combat oiliness… but apply it only to the ‘I-Zone,’ rather than the traditional ‘T-Zone.’
That means swipe a small amount from the center of your forehead down the bridge of your nose only. For those of you who prefer to set your concealer, this is a great product for that, too!
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 //
This incredible hair treatment isn’t new around here (I reviewed it in this Sephora Haul), but it’s now available in a larger value size! I use the Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 once every week to 10 days (I apply to damp hair at night, then shampoo out the next morning), and credit it with healing and repairing my fragile, color-treated hair!
My stylist says he’s seen it transform even the most damaged hair. This new size is a great value!
IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Illumination with SPF 50+ //
Y’all are no stranger to my go-to It Cosmetics CC+ Cream Illumination with SPF 50+… I’ve been using it for years, and credit the illumination for giving me that ‘filtered glow’ look. Mama Sugarplum swears by it, too.
With stay-home orders, I was using NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 30 for lighter coverage around the house, but am now back to the more full-coverage of It Cosmetics CC+ Cream Illumination with SPF 50+. I never tan my face in the sun, so I picked up a darker shade for summer to match my body’s tan.
I especially appreciate the SPF 50, and I find it does a good job of staying put even around the pool. Obviously a more water-resistant sunscreen is needed if I’m swimming.
Okay, that’s it for this month’s Sephora Haul! Are any of these products already on your must-have list? What do you love that I should try next? I’m still loving the OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Eye Cream from your last suggestions.
*This post is created in collaboration with Sephora and ShopStyle, but all product selections, opinions, and beauty-junkie obsessions are my own. Thank you for supporting Hi Sugarplum sponsors!*
Hello! I am wondering about your Olaplex night routine… what do you wrap around your hair to make sure the Olaplex doesn’t get al over the bed while you sleep? Thank you!
Hi Katherine! I just get my hair damp and then towel-dry really well before applying the Olaplex. Most of it absorbs and dries in my hair before I go to bed, so it’s not an issue. If my hair is damp still, I’ll just pull it back in a silk hair tie…and I sleep on a silk pillowcase, so it doesn’t absorb all the product!
I’m loving the Olaplex No. 3 – thank you for recommending it! Curious if you have tried the other products and if you like them as much. They are pricey but maybe worth it!
Hi Jodi! Yes ma’am I have! I’ve reviewed the Styling Creme, Shampoo, and Conditioner… posts linked below! xo, C

The Mighty Patch acne dots at Target work great and are half the price. I’d rather “splurge” on skin care than acne dots- that’s just me. I’ve found the trick is to let it come it a head and be somewhat opened at the top, then the patch pulls the gunk out. Sorry, gross 😝
Great tip, Melissa! On both the pads and how to use them!
You haven’t indicated any partnerships with black or minority owned businesses, nor have you highlighted the products or services of any either. Is this something you intend to do, or will that remain absent from your spaces?
Hi Kayla…I’ll continue to work with and promote brands that I love and believe in because of the product and service they offer. And that includes black and women-owned, as well as local, small business, and large-scale. Just because I don’t call them out as such doesn’t mean they aren’t. xo. C
I am loving my Glycol Toner from The Ordinary. Amazing product for a reasonable cost and it fights that weird acne I get around my cycle. It even gets off that tiny bit of residue your cleanser might miss.
By the way, I’m also loving my Banana Bright under eye cream from Olehenriksen. Thanks for the rec last month! Using it with The Ordinary Caffiene serum nightly and then again in the morning. It’s taken my morning puffiness off the table 100%. Life changing and so reasonably priced.
Thanks for sharing these hauls, I’ve got maturing skin too and it’s so helpful to hear about what works for you in your 40’s. (#agingwithgracegoals)

Thank you for the rec, Christa! And I’m so glad you’re loving the Banana Bright Eye Creme, I love it too! xoxo, Cassie
On your switch to natural deodorant have you tried an armpit detox? I’ve heard it makes all the difference ! Mega babe has a charcoal one
I haven’t, but I’m going to look into it now!! Thanks for the tip!
I have been battling acne all my life and have tried everything over the counter and prescription. I actually ordered the Peace Out Acne Dots and I was shocked by how well they worked. The difference in the inflammation around the pimple was unbelievable from night to morning. It made it so much easier to cover the blemish. I have cut them into pieces for smaller pimples. But to me, they are worth every penny.
That is fantastic! And cutting them for smaller pimples is such a good idea!! xo, C
Hi Cassie! Have you tried any Tatcha products yet? I’ve been using the The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment and I like that it’s a 2 in 1 (eye cream and concealer) but curious as to how it compares to the OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Eye Cream you like so much.
I haven’t but maybe I need to add it to my list to try1 Xo, C
