Hi Sugarplum!

Reese’s Peanut Butter Brownie Bars with Cookie Crust

March 10, 2014

We’re in the swing of March now, which means hoops, baby! I don’t know about your house, but the boys in mine have College Basketball fever. I actually enjoy watching with them since their excitement is so contagious. And it gives me an excuse to whip up some game-day snacks!

Reese’s asked if I’d like to participate in their REESE’S® Baking Bracket Challenge by creating my own Game Day Recipes. Did I want to participate?! Hello, I practically have a B.S. in Chocolate and a Minor in Peanut Butter!

I wanted something super easy and inexpensive to prepare, so I tweaked a popular recipe, and injected all kinds of REESE’S® Peanut Butter Cups greatness. Feast your eyes….

{INGREDIENTS}
1 package Refrigerated Cookie Dough, or your favorite recipe
12 Full Size Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
1 box Betty Crocker Brownie Supreme Mix
1 package Reese’s Pieces Candy

Whip up a batch of your favorite chocolate chip cookies, or do like most of us, and buy refrigerated cookie dough…then press it in the bottom of a greased 8×8 pan.

Tip: Line your pan with foil or parchment paper first to easily lift them out for cutting after baking.

Layer the REESE’S® Peanut Butter Cups over the uncooked cookie dough. Note the Ingredients called for 12 and there’s only room for 9…that’s so you have enough, because you know you’ll eat the cups while assembling the recipe.

Mix your brownie batter according to directions on the box, and pour over the top.

Finally, sprinkle with Reese’s Pieces candy, because, well, why not?! And they add some fun color to the top.

Bake those little squares of heaven for 30-minutes on 350-degrees, then let cool before cutting. It serves 1-16, depending on your willpower and willingness to share.

You can smell them, can’t you? Go ahead, lean in to your screen and take a whiff. There’s no shame in licking the monitor either, it wouldn’t be the first time. They really are as good as they look. Dare I say, better!?

These ‘Nuttin’ But Net Bars’ are 1 of the 32 fun Reese’s recipes that can be found at REESE’S® Baking Bracket Challenge. Fans can vote on their favorite recipe every day for a chance at a daily prize of a $100 gift card! Each week, the brackets will be narrowed down, tournament-style, until a winner is crowned King of the Court. #seewhatIdidthere

Get your pinning finger ready, because there are some great recipe ideas for celebrating game days, or any days. So go check out the REESE’S® Baking Bracket Challenge, and vote! If my recipe made you drool, then vote for my ‘Nuttin’ But Net Bars’…thanks to the clever Mr. Sugarplum for the hoop-tastic name.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of REESE’S® Brand for SocialSpark. All opinions and drooling are 100% mine. Thank you supporting Hi Sugarplum sponsors!
