Woo Hoo, Friday! I am so excited, and so ready for this weekend! We had a busy week, not to mention our burglar alarm went off twice in the middle of the night! My heart has still not recovered from the sheer panic we felt each time the blaring siren jerked us out of bed (and I’m vowing to no longer watch any kind of movie that contains home invasion scenes!) The police came and checked the perimeter of the house, and it looked to be false alarms both times. Still, it scared the doo-doo out of us, and we’re all ready for some catch-up sleep.
Here’s a little Friday pop quiz for you….I’m hoping to get one more project crossed off the Living Room List this weekend…..
You clever kids have any guesses? Have you seen Law Abiding Citizen with Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx? The opening scene is messed up, and unfortunately it kept replaying in my head each time Mr. Sugarplum had to walk the house with an aluminum bat in hand! Is it wine-thirty yet? Mama needs a drink!

Can't wait to see how it turns out! My alarm hasn't gone off in the middle of the night, thank goodness, but I have set it off many times because I forget to turn it off. I'm sure the neighbors don't appreciate that in the wee hours of the morning!
can't wait for the after pics of the fireplace. i set off my neighbor's alarm once while attempting to feed her cats while they were away. lordy… i still haven't recovered from the scare. i cannot believe how loud those alarms are. i can't imagine having it wake me in the middle of the night! have a great weekend!
AHHH- I'm so excited to see it in white! I whitewashed ours right before Christmas last year and it made such a huge difference! Hope you get some peaceful nights of sleep this weekend.
From the looks of your inspiration pictures, I'm wondering if you're painting your mantel (again) too. Can't wait to see. From, Your Arizona Stalker (via web only!)
Yikes! That's so scary. But painting the fireplace is not scary! I can't wait to see. I'm planning to paint my fireplace/mantle/built-ins wall soon too. I am excited to see what you do with yours.
ahh, I love the look of the painted brick around the fireplace. Unfortunately my husband will NOT let me paint mine 🙁 I painted the mantel black and it looks fantastic and so many friends have suggested painting the brick also, but, alas it will not happen (not yet, anyway.. hehe) can't wait to see how yours turns out.
Ooooo…we're going to do a little somethin' somethin' with Mr. Fireplace? Looks racy (c: And I think I would've freaked out about the alarms…goodbye sleep! Hope you get some this weekend…I meant sleep…gosh your mind is dirty (c: hahaha!
Dang it! I've missed so much — your fireplace is going to look amazeballs! And I love the changes to the side table and console table! Both are fab-u-lous! And the kitchen rug is perfection!
i'm going to go out on a limb here and say painting your fireplace white????
Hmmmm, are you painting your fireplace white? You go girl!
If your burglar alarm going off scares you, then you definitely don't need to watch "Panic Room" with Jodie Foster! Ha!
Do it ! love painted brick.
