You guys are awesome! I loved your comments yesterday regarding our costumes…cat’s out of the bag now, we know who’s a fan! Question is, are you a line-up-at-midnight-with-a-bedazzled-tshirt kind of fan, or an ashamed-keep-it-in-the-closet fan
Well, today is November 1st. Which means the start of my birthmonth. Yes, you read that right. Not just a birthday, but a birthmonth. Well, actually, everything comes to a halt for
that pesky Thanksgiving, but I’ve got at least the next 18 days to get my way at home. (It’s not about the presents, it’s about the power!) Don’t think I’m a brat, Mr. Sugarplum had his time in September!
And it’s a fabulous month, starting tonight with tickets to my favorite artist, Gavin DeGraw, and ending with sparkly vampires
getting busy. Can. Not. Wait.

The unexpected renovation to the Pool Bathroom took the place of birthday or Christmas presents this year (I’m not complaining!), and it looks like I’ll be receiving the remodeled bathroom soon, as our contractor finished the bulk of the work last week! (Told you he moved faster than I could blog it!)
The shower has been rebuilt, and the beautiful white subway tile installed.
Thanks to your feedback on the pebble tile, I went for it! This is an off-the-shelf river rock tile (comes in mesh sheets) from Home Depot. I think it’s perfect since this bathroom leads to the backyard and pool. I haven’t actually stepped on it yet, so
toes fingers crossed it feels good.
They created a little shampoo inset, and we added the river rocks for texture and interest. (And because I had a piece leftover.)
The plastic hot/cold knobs were replaced with a new brushed nickel set.
The sink had an equally outdated faucet that’s been switched out, as well. And I am so on the fence about the light fixture! It’s modern-ness and half-exposed light bulbs are just perfect for the bathroom. (Sarcasm translation: I can’t get that thing out fast enough! TWSS)
And remember the unused space we discovered next to the shower? Now it’s 9-feet of storage cabinets!!
I decided to leave a little nook exposed, just to break it up a bit.
Once the shower door arrives, they’ll return to finish up. I’m trying to decide if I want to change the color scheme completely, or stick with the navy. I guess it’s kind of hard for you to have an opinion since I haven’t shown you the Before shots! I’ll get my act together and show you soon. Thoughts so far?
