Fall is a gradual season around these parts, so we don’t go from sundresses to boots overnight. I typically just add a layer to accommodate the cooler mornings. Cardigans are a Southern girl’s best friend, not only for the array of colors, but because they help to transition outfits between seasons. Today I’m mixing different shades of magenta as a nod to Summer, and the season to come.

Really I’m cheating by calling this ‘Shades of Magenta.’ Truth is, I wasn’t exactly sure how to label these colors….coral, hot pink, purple, salmon? No matter, I love how they blend together for a punchy impact. My mom probably thinks I look like I got dressed in the dark.
The leopard acts as a neutral, and helps to break up all the cotton-candy sweetness (I like to eat Easter eggs, not look like one). The checks add a touch of pattern. I also wore the skirt here, but this time I hiked it higher on my waist for a little different look.

No putting Baby in a corner in this outfit! Are you a fan of mixing brights? What about mixing colors in the same family? And speaking of shades….thoughts on the rumor of Ryan Gosling playing Christian Grey?!
GORGEOUS OUTFIT! I love the leopard+majenta. Will you come dress me??
Mmmmm, love the belt.

I love the bright look! SO cute! 🙂
Okay….I love this. LOVE the brights and patterns all mixed and matched. You look great!
Just so darling on you with your coloring and hair – you dress like I'd like to have the nerve to dress…always cute, adventurous and stylish!
You are just so stinking cute. I LOVE the brights and your hair looks amazing.
Love your outfit. You are so stylish.
I don't feel like I wear pink very confidently (makes me feel like I'm 7) but this outfit is fabulous and I love that you can totally pull it off. How fun!
Awesome. I love how the belt makes it more modern and sophisticated. Lovely outfit. Here in the north, things are already pretty chilly, so I've already worn boots. Some people dread this time of year, I love that I can put the capris and sundresses away for a change of pace.
Oh my goodness 🙂
Hot damn Cass you're getting crazy good at this – like, look out Blair.
Great outfit, are you getting even prettier??
You look gorgeous! And Ryan Gosling as Christian Grey (or anything at all)…yes please.
OOooh, love that touch of oomph with the leopard belt and the gingham shirt! you look great as always Cassie!
I would never have thought to throw leopard in there with the gingham and magenta. You look amazing! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
You are seriously adorable and officially my new style guru. I love the outfits you put together!
This looks gorgeous! I really love the addition of the leopard belt, too — and your hair looks so pretty!
LOVE it! and love how you paired it with the leopard belt. Gorge!
LOVE this all…the pinks, the leopard, the gingham. P.s Dallas showed us a really great time (maybe a little too much, ha) AND we got to meet Kevin Costner so I would say it was a win!!
I sure love and appreciate a gal who adores pink as much as I do!!! If you need me, I'll be busy pinning, pinning…oh, and *pinning* (c;
Good Grief Cassie! Everything here is stunning. That magenta couch. Unbelievable.
Just beautiful, Cassie! Magenta is an all-time favorite of mine 🙂
Love the outfit – gorgeous colors on you!!
Love the bright colors. And THANK YOU for keeping color in fall. Not many people would be daring enough to wear shades of magenta. And that belt. Love the print 🙂
I LOVE this outfit – what an awesome use of bright colors! All my favorites in one place 🙂 Found you via the Pleated Poppy linkup!

Fantastic outfit! If only I were so brave…
Cant imagine RG playing the bad boy of Christian Grey!
