Sugarplum Picks

It’s almost the weekend, the sun is shining, and the Nordstrom Anniversary Pre-Sale is LIVE…it’s like Christmas morning and my birthday all rolled in to one!! I’ve been stalking the catalog for two weeks, drooling over all the Fall goodies, and counting down the days until some of them could be mine.

I know it’s a little crazy to think about Fall clothes in the middle of a piping-hot Summer, but here’s the deal…this isn’t an end-of-season sale, it’s all the cute, new stuff coming out next season that’s temporarily marked-down. It’s the stuff you’re going to lust after a few months from now, except then, it will all be full-priced! See? Like Christmas morning!

I’ll be checking it out online today, but here’s what’s caught my eye already…

My friend Sheaffer has been raving about this wrap for ages, and when I finally tried it for myself, I physically swooned. As cloud-like perfection as it is, there was still no way I would pay $90. Lucky for me us it’s included in the sale! And lucky for my mom and mother-in-law, too…since they both might have one under the Christmas tree this year! #whosthefavoritedaughternow

Capes and kimonos are going to be hot this Fall…I especially love the striped ones. #duh

You know how I feel about my jean jacket…chambray shirts are pretty much in the same go-with-everything category.

I have three pair of jeans by this brand, and the distressed are by far my favorites. I wear my normal size in all of them.

These skirts are such a flattering shape, and great work staples.

Next to boots, I use the sale as a time to stock up on necessities like my everyday undergarments. Even Hankie Pankies are on sale!

This is just a drop in the big ol’ Christmas in July bucket….there are tons more sale items available online for cardholders here. And for the non-cardholders, the sale goes live to the public later next week. By then, I’ll have a Dressing Room Diaries for you, showing all my favorites. I have a feeling it will include these boots, and this cardi-wrap. And we haven’t even talked about handbags yet…like this one that’s only $30!
