Missoni for Target

Welcome back to Monday, glorious Monday. *snort* I hope your weekend was fabulous…ours are no longer leisurely, as soccer and piano and school are all in full motion. But I did manage to squeeze in a little painting, and I hope to show you this week if I can get the pictures to cooperate.

Today I’m warming up for September 13th. A day that’s been circled on my calendar for months! I’m a big fan of Target’s International line (how else do us common folk afford such fab designer loot?!), and tomorrow they are rolling out the 400-piece Missoni for Target Collection!

Many of the clothes look a little too sweater knit (read: body clinging) for my taste, but these are the items I can’t wait to see in person tomorrow.

So much zig-zag goodness….are you as inappropriately worked up about this sale as me? It’s sure to go fast, so don’t get in my way! See the full collection here.

I have been counting down the days and wouldn't you know it is the first day Sterling starts school so I can't get there right when they open, sniff. But I will be there scarfing up stuff. Really loving the shoes! Too bad we arent in the same city we could shop together!

I'm a follower of you for awhile and love your blog! I'm on the far side of Texas from you (think south and humid) but am also excited about Missoni's collection. Hopefully it becomes cool enough (perchance also for more than a day) to wear some of those zig-zags!

I love the pieces, but as I told someone else who posted about it last week…I am afraid it is going to be overdone. I expect blogland to light up with it this week.

  5. I hadn't seen the bar stuff yet. It's really awesome. I'm hoping I can get into the stores early enough to land a pair of those flats. Target shoes usually hurt my feet but I think I need to try again….

  8. I am already stretching so I can run through the store without pulling a muscle! Can't wait. I have already warned my hubby that I am hitting it up bigtime.

  11. I woke up at 3 am last night reminding myself that I must prepare to check out one (or more) local targets right after dropping the kids at school. Then I couldn't go back to sleep because I was slowly justifying raising my shopping budget. What if they sell out and, heaven help me, I can't get EVERYTHING I want???? OK – I will just have to buy it if I see it then hope the hubby understands my plight. I can always return it if I accidentally spend the kids college fund … right? I know, it's an illness.

    Thanks for your great blog!

I'm so excited! Missoni isn't really my style, but the zigzags are so iconic, I feel I have to get *something*! I love those shoes you posted. Oh boy. Danger. I need to kick myself out of Target.

  16. Yes, yes I am complete jacked up on endorphins like a kid waiting for Christmas and expecting a friggin' pony…wait, that's not inappropriate though, right? (c: Don't worry, I promise not to push old ladies or children out of my way while shopping…much…

  22. I'll be there tomorrow morning but if I'm being honest I'm kind of already tired of it. We've been seeing it almost daily for the last 3 months! Ha.

  23. I am excited too, but there is something about Missoni at Target that makes my (hand-me-down) Missoni skirt a little less special. I know. I sound like a snot. Of course I will be the 1st one in line to get me some of them ballet flats. 😉

  25. My SIL called me today from Target and said everything was sold out within 10 minutes- the employees told her people were lined up outside and ran inside just grabbing everything. Right now, no Houston store has anything (from what I hear)!! Crazy!!!
