Jot It Down

Hello loves! How was your weekend? I wrapped mine up in to a tidy picture:

weekend collage

1. My little Sugarplum Beckham meet sibling rivalry; 2. Hot Air Balloon Festival was pretty cool, although I ate my weight in kettle corn 3. Painting projects I’ll show you later; 4. Git in Mah Belly chicken fajita!

I don’t know about you, but when Sunday afternoon rolls around I start to freak think about all the stuff happening in the coming week….work, school, dinners, piano, soccer practice, dance, teacher meeting…blogging! (hello, priorities!?!) Here is where my organization OCD kicks in. All it takes to calm me down is a list, and preferably in a spiffy notebook.

Here’s my latest, a cute little Target number:

Don’t you just feel peaceful and organized looking at this? It’s like the first day of school every time I get a new one. I promise myself I’ll make organized lists, I start off using my neatest penmanship and keep it with me at all times so I can jot down my brilliant anal ideas.

Then by the second week it looks like this:

Oh well, that’s life. And it’s on my list to enjoy it.

How about you? What is your little trick to sanity?

  2. Cute little notebook- đŸ™‚ I just finished my breakfast and made myself a little Monday to do list too. It really does help calm all the clutter rambling around in my head to just bullet point a quick list.

I keep tons of lists on my iPhone app, Check List. Target, Dinners, grocery store, to do, all goes on the phone. It's amazing how I can buy all the ingredients…. but then forget what I was supposed to be making for dinner. Ya, iPhone to the rescue.

I'm not overstating things when I say I LOVE lists – handwritten lists. No electronic device will ever replace a cute, new notebook. Blank pages, so full of organizational promise.
