Mondays aren’t usually fun, but are especially un-fun after a weekend away! I had a great time at the Haven Conference, hanging with some of my best blogger friends, and getting to meet so many new ones. It’s inspiring to be around people that share a similar passion…and so crazy to realize just how many blogs are out there! So thank you for stopping by this little corner of the internets…I really appreciate your friendship and enthusiasm!
Now that our backyard is coming together (see the new horizontal fence and dining area), we love inviting friends over for laid-back dinners and swimming. You may have noticed from my Recipe Tab that I’m not much of a cooker-person…more of a preparer-person, so I always stick with simple!
I’ll make a fresh salad (like this Watermelon & Feta) and ice cream (Fresh Peach is one of our favorites) ahead of time, then Mr. SP fires up the grill for burgers and corn-on-the-cob. He really outdid himself last week with In-N-Out inspired burgers…and judging by the response from this pic on InstaGram, I figured I’d share the recipe with you!
{What You Need}
1/2 c. Mayo
2 1/2 Tbl. Ketchup
2 1/2 Tbl. Pickle Relish
2 Tbl. White Wine Vinegar
1 tsp. Lemon Juice
Dash salt
2 1/2 Tbl. Ketchup
2 1/2 Tbl. Pickle Relish
2 Tbl. White Wine Vinegar
1 tsp. Lemon Juice
Dash salt
{What You Do}
*Follow these steps exactly…mix all the ingredients & refrigerate overnight.
*Slather on your burger.
*Slather on your burger.
*Whew, that was exhausting!
And don’t forget the onions…I chopped them really small and sautéed them in a generous amount of butter. (Nobody said this was healthy!) To get the cheese nice and melty, Mr. SP puts it on the patties at the very end, and closes the grill lid for a minute.
You better git in mah belly!!! #animalstyleforthewin
I dare say I inhaled mine faster than a real In-N-Out, then swooned all over Mr. SP. #myhero Who’s licking their screen and ready for lunch?! Are you a cooker-person or a preparer-person?
P.S. From the sound of it, you guys are enjoying the Nordstrom Anniversary as much as me! You can check out my first-round of Dressing Room Diaries here, and don’t forget my Sugarplum Picks are always available by clicking this pic in the sidebar.
YUM! That looks like a recipe I can handle. I love easy recipes that kicks a basic burger up a notch.
It's 7:26 a.m. and I'm DYING for a burger!!!!!! And how good would onion rings be dipped in that sauce???!!!!??? Am I right???
Mmmm this looks so good! I'll definitely be saving this for later 😉
That looks good even to this vegetarian!! I could try it on a veggie burger. Can you believe I've never been to an In N Out Burger??!!!
Yum! That looks so good! I'm gonna have to email that to Jon as a hint, hint and hope for a BBQ this weekend.
We are California transplants to Tennessee and In-N-Out is very high on the list of things we miss. I made these last night for the family with a side of Animal Style fries. So, so good!!! Thank you for sharing!!
This looks sooooo good!
I'm not a fan of burger but seeing it now, I want to taste it now… 🙂
