Some combinations are just a match made in heaven…popcorn and milk duds #trustme, peanut butter and jelly, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake, and La Crema wine and Wisteria. Wait, what?! Hang with me.
Over the holidays, we hosted several parties, both small and large, and each time I set up bar areas for guests to help themselves. For the larger party, I split the drinks into several areas of the house, which helped to avoid traffic jams, and encourage more flow.
One corner of the kitchen housed my friend Jennifer’s amazing non-alcoholic punch (seriously, it’s insanely good!), a cooler on the porch was stocked with water and sodas, and the wine was split between the butler’s pantry and a festive bar cart in the Living Room.
But of course everyone still congregated in the kitchen!
So what does this have to do with heavenly pairings like La Crema wine and Wisteria? I’ll get to that, but first let’s talk about styling one of my favorite pieces of accent furniture…the bar cart!
Not only do bar carts provide chic areas for styling, but they’re actually useful pieces of furniture for entertaining! Using Wisteria’s mixer’s bar cart, I created two set-ups to show you how I use them for both entertaining and everyday.
We typically stick with just wine and beer for parties, and you can never go wrong serving La Crema wine…it’s definitely a family favorite (it’s all my sister served at her gorgeous Mountain River Wedding)! I first added my fringe garland to give the cart a festive feel so guests knew it was for the party.
Then I stocked it with wine, glasses and a few snacks. Make sure you include anything guests may need, like a bottle opener and napkins. And fresh flowers and candles are always great additions.
Sugarplum Tip: Stand alone bar set-ups also ensure guests only open and drink the stuff you want them to! #youknowwhatImsayin
And what’s a party without a fun party skirt and jewels!? Can you believe I never make Maggie pose for these pics…she’s just always by my side!
Other than parties, we don’t keep a stocked bar on display. #teenageronboard Not that I don’t trust my kids, but I prefer to keep it tucked out of sight. So for utilizing bar carts for everyday vignettes, I stick with my How to Style a Coffee Table formula…
Now the fun part…or funner part. (Is funner a word? I didn’t think it was, but my spell-checker isn’t correcting me??) La Crema Wines and Wisteria have partnered together and are giving you lucky ducks the chance win this gorgeous Mixer’s Bar Cart and Marble Cheese Board! (Sorry folks, park’s closed the wine’s mine!)
Do you have a bar cart of some sort? Do you keep it stocked for parties, or use it for stylish vignettes? See more styling posts like this one here, and more of the Living Room here. Good luck, lovebugs!
Thank you for the lovely photos, Stephanie Drenka!

Everything looks so cute!! I wish all the dogs I photographed were naturals like sweet Maggie!
love the second look! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
Can't find the sweepstakes on the La Crema website.
I don't have a bar *cart* but rather an antique campaign side table with X legs that I use in the dining room as a bar cart. I don't style it as it's too full of bottles of alcohol. Actually, I probably wouldn't style it anyway – just more to have to dust. đŸ™‚
LOL…there's a fair share of dust on mine, too! đŸ˜‰ The sweepstakes is now up and running, so try again! Good luck! xo
Your new cart is lovely and I love the idea of spreading drink stations around the house. The added fringe adds the perfect detail, and I especially love it all styled up with those gorgeous blue and white pieces! Thanks for the shout-out sweet lady, I'm glad the punch was a hit at the party!
Such a good idea to keep the stuff you want to serve in certain areas! Brad was in the liquor and wine business for a long time and each party people kept breaking into the good stuff because it was in the bar (also, I think he wanted to open it đŸ˜‰ but now as we have gotten older and wiser we know to only have out what we want to serve!
I always keep a separate food/app area so people can eat and drink in an area different than a bar.
Love it styled both ways. Love that you also added a few munchies on the entertaining version.
I spy your tassel charm….. I love how you incorporate those anywhere and everywhere!
I adore your jar collection! I love your sryle, so fun!
Perfect styling, both ways!
Would you consider a post on styling a sofa table??? We have a dark wood sofa table that you see right when you walk in our front door. It is three levels, all open. Right now we use the bottom level for board game storage (It's used a lot!) but I can't seem to find a good style for the top and middle level. And, something that will withstand my 4 and 7 year old boys. Thanks!
