Fall Style | Black & Camel

Welcome back to a new week, friends! Are you enjoying a day off for the holiday, or is it business as usual? We’re on a mini-Fall break, with the kids off until Wednesday…but our plan to go camping was derailed by the steamy temps.

At best, I ‘endure’ camping, so I’m not about to go when it’s still 90-degrees. We’ll just have to try again next month. #ohyay

Typical Texas Fall though, we had cooler weather last month, so I jumped at the chance to pull out my new cardigan. Today I’m excited to share some early Fall styles with you…along with Kendra Scott’s new Charms Collection! (Get excited, it’s good!!)

Cardigan, boots, jeans…pretty much my Fall uniform! I’m crazy for the shades of brown and cognac together, and this cardigan is super-soft with the perfect drape and longer length. (Update: it’s 40% off!)

But it’s the new Kendra Scott Charms Collection that’s stealing the show. Not only do they allow you to completely customize your jewelry, but you can choose combinations that are special to you. The charms range from everything from letters to animals and schools to birthstones. The combinations and stories they tell are unlimited! And even better, most charms are around $20!

First step is to choose a base…they have earrings, necklaces, and several bracelet options.

Then pick your charms, grouping them together to tell your story. Some charms even give back, with a portion of the proceeds going to charities and programs near to Kendra Scott’s heart.

The charms are easily clipped to any base, making it simple to mix up the styles. I opted for the pinch cuff bracelet, and added the my kid’s initials for a special piece that reminds me of them. And I’m wearing my home state on an adjustable chain around my neck.

I love that this chain can be worn long or as a choker, and every length in between!

I love the deep cognac of these suede booties, and the side-slit makes them a great transitional shoe. I’m wearing them with these no-show socks.

Fit Tip: They run true to size.

I know this cardigan will be on repeat this season, the style is so classic and chic! Plus, it’s super soft and so comfy! I paired it with all black for another easy style, perfect for everything from causal Fridays to classroom volunteer.

Fit Tip: The cardigan runs large, so size down. I’m wearing an XXS petite!

I’ve been reaching for these leopard flats a lot lately…they’re a perfect transitional shoe when it’s too warm for boots, and too ‘October’ for sandals!

Fit Tip: They’re true to size.

I easily swapped out my charms for a new story…my necklace sports my own initial, and the bracelet my home state and birthstone.

You also probably noticed I combined black and brown! You absolutely can pair these colors, the trick is to contrast the two shades. Lighter tones of tan, taupe, and cognac are timeless when worn with black.

What is your go-to Fall uniform? What story would you tell with the new Kendra Scott charms?

  1. I can’t get enough of camel in fall (and winter!). I have a cardigan just like yours – it’s basically my favourite piece to wear when the cold weather draws near. 🙂

The last photo of you with the black ensemble, leopard flats, and camel cardigan is my favorite (along with a pumpkin latte in your hand)?!! I need to add some leopard gems to my wardrobe, like those comfy flats.

You always manage to look great. Keeping it simple and stylish. The one thing I would change is not wearing distressed jeans. I am not a fan of anyone over the age of 20 wearing distressed jeans. Hope that is not being harsh.
