Hi Sugarplum!

Fall Jackets Under $100

November 9, 2020

Hello, sweet friends, and welcome back! What a week, right?! I hope you managed to find some rest and peace this weekend. Our son was home for a quick visit, so my mama-heart was happy!

My purpose here is always to share as much love, kindness, and positivity as I can…and that applies to everyone. We may not always agree, but we can still love each other, right?!

Today I’ve got some easy fall styles for you, and it’s all about my favorite layering piece…the jacket. I think of them as more than an just essential for staying warm, but also as the perfect final layer. The right jacket can add so much style to even the most basic of outfits, and utility jackets are my go-tos, especially during the transitional months.

Quilted Utility Jacket | Roll Neck Sweater | Cropped Jeans | Slip-On Sneakers | Earrings | Chain Bracelet

This quilted utility jacket is a great medium weight, with extra stylish touches like a stand-up collar and front patch pockets. It’s fully-lined, incredible quality, and comes in a few colors. The style and quality easily rival jackets twice the price!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small for added room to layer.

These jeans are a new find, and I love the fit! They’re a sturdy denim and high-rise that keeps everything tucked in, but with enough stretch to be comfortable. The cropped length and slightly flared hem is especially cute with sneakers and flats.

Fit Tip: I sized up one for a more relaxed fit, but would have been okay with my usual size.

For a second look, I dressed up the utility jacket a bit with booties, and added a plaid scarf for a touch of pattern.

This sweater is so soft and cozy, and extra warm, too. It’s a little on the cropped side, so perfect paired with high-rise jeans.

Here are a few more stylish jackets that would be a darling addition to your fall and winter outfits, and all are under $100 at Nordstrom! Plus, free shipping and returns. If you have a local store, definitely check out their safe and convenient curb-side pickup. It’s completely contact-free!

one. Faux-Fur Hooded Parka // two. Quilted Cropped Field Jacket
three. Shirt Jacket // four. Water Repellant Hooded Puffer (44% off!)
five. Corduroy Jacket // six. Peacoat
seven. Pink Puffer // eight. Color Block Puffer

How cute is that color block puffer?! I’ve had the peacoat for years, and can’t recommend it enough… especially for the under $50 price! Which jacket styles do you lean towards most?

I love your Blog, I wish when you show some of your clothes you would also find them in plus sizes. I know your own line does that, and I am sure happy about that. Today Utility Jacket was great , the sizes were not much or a range. But i will not stop reading your blog, I look forward to it every day.

Thank you so much for the feedback, Marcia, I’ll certainly keep a more diverse sizing in mind!! Here is a similar jacket to mine in plus size…it’s super cute! https://shopstyle.it/l/bojBJ

    Hello Cassie!
Could you tell me what size you purchased in the DAZE high waist jeans. I want to add them to my cart, but don’t do so well and picking size when it isn’t 2, 4, etc. Thanks so much. Have a good week ahead.

Hi Andrea! I ordered a 27, which is usually equivalent to a 4, and a size up from my usual size. I probably could have gone with a 26, but would rather they be a little looser since they are high-waisted. Hope that helps!
