{DIY} Outdoor Bar Cart

Hi friends…how was your weekend? I had a ball at the Haven Conference…it’s always fun to hang out with people who get as ga-ga over glue guns and spray paint as I do. So many of these girls have become close, real-life friends, so it didn’t really feel like a ‘blogger conference.’ I haven’t looked through my pics, but hopefully I have enough (suitable) ones to do a re-cap post. I’ll get back to you on that.
Today I’m sharing the super simple DIY for our new Patio Barcart. I mean, crazy simple.

So simple and so fun, right?! And the storage options are endless for using it outside. It’s lightweight and compact, too, so it moves around easily, and fits in small nooks.

Where did you get the casters and what size are they?

    Posted 7.27.14 Reply
    • Hi Kelly — the casters are from Home Depot…and they are the small ones that have a post on them…so it slides up in the hole of the cart leg. Hope this helps!

Can you pls be more specific? Help! Thx

    • There isn't a link to them online…but someone in the store will be able to lead you in the right direction! Just show them the storage rack, and they'll find the perfect casters for it!

Hi! I have the exact same cart, and am having zero success with casters. The posts are too big for the holes with the smallest I can find at any store. (The wheels get smaller but not the posts!) I'm assuming you somehow found smaller- then how did you attach them? Glue? Thanks for your help!

    Posted 6.17.15 Reply
    • Hi Carlie! My wheels just fit right in?!?! I do have one that pops out a lot, so I used glue to keep it in place. I don't wheel the cart around much, so that helps too. xo

I love this cart makeover! Having purchased all the supplies I am wondering if I need to rough up the shiny metal finish before painting?

    • thanks Robyn! I think just a light dusting of spray primer would be enough!
