Happy May Day, friends, and cheers to the weekend! As of today, Texas is no longer shelter-in-place! According to officials, we can now dine in restaurants and shop our favorite stores (at 25% capacity)! It’s a day we’ve been waiting six weeks for, but now that it’s here, I’m not sure I’m ready to do those things!?
We’re going to take things slowly, and still practice social distancing and extreme hygiene, but my first order of business is to see friends and family! Although, I doubt any of us will feel comfortable enough to hug, ha!

Zoom calls or lunch dates, this floral number is the perfect spring top. It has an elastic smock neck and ruffles at the shoulder, and can be worn out and loose or tucked. I paired it with high-rise white denim, a comfortable and stretchy fit with n0-show pockets. I love the button fly, too!

Hello cute pants! Chambray is one of my favorite fabrics for spring and summer… it’s lightweight and breathable, and the shade goes with absolutely everything. It’s like denim, but kicked up a notch in the style department.
These wide leg pants are a great weight in a pull-on style with elastic waist in the back. The bow is attached for a cute tie in the front, and the cropped length is great for sandals or wedges. I paired them with a fun eyelet top with slightly puffed sleeves. The body is fully-lined, and it’s a crisp, sturdy cotton.

Gingham is a classic print that never goes out of style, and is so fun to pair with solids, stripes and florals. I love the bold pink color and lightweight, yet crisp material of this shirt. Wear it tied, tucked or out, the styling options are endless!
I paired it with white denim shorts in a great high-rise. I’ve been wearing these for years, and love the thick denim with extra stretch.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS top, but would size up one for broad shoulders. The shorts run a little big, but I stick with my usual 26 for a relaxed fit.

How fun is this eyelet sweatshirt?! In a lightweight spring cotton, it has a traditional sweatshirt feel, but with the cutest eyelet pattern on the back. It’s solid at the top though, so it’s still bra-friendly.

A girl can never have too many basic tees, and I love the deep v-neck of J.Crew’s vintage fit. It’s lightweight, yet not sheer, and comes in a ton of colors. The jean skirt fits beautifully through the waist, with no gaping in the back, and a perfect length. The pocket placement on the back is super flattering, too.

J.Crew Factory always has the cutest pajamas, so I couldn’t resist these fun, new short sets. This pair is a soft and stretchy jersey knit, and super comfortable. Not to mention, the rainbow stripes are so happy!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS. I usually size up one in pajamas for a looser, relaxed fit, but the smalls were too big at the waist

And finally… it’s not a top or pajamas, but how could I resist this color blocked swimsuit?!?! I’m obsessed with the color combo, and it’s such a comfortable fit. It’s fully-lined, but has minimal support, so it’s more of a ‘drinks by the pool’ suit. Okay by me!
Fit Tip: I always size up one in swim, especially one-pieces because I’m long-torsoed… I’m wearing a small.
