Amazon Fashion Finds | May

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend!! We’ve been celebrating the end of the school year at the lake for the last few days, but headed home this afternoon. Little Miss is scheduled to start back to volleyball this weekend… just conditioning and clinics at this point, with staggered court times and no spectators.

I’m a little anxious about it, but she’s beyond ready to get back to her favorite sport. And the gym is taking so many precautions! As will I when she gets back in the car, ha! I guess we have to start somewhere, right? (Please remember every state is different and we’re all doing our best to protect our families.)

Today is time for your favorite monthly series, Amazon Fashion Finds! I started these Fashion Finds almost two years ago, and they quickly became reader-faves. It takes some intense digging to find the good stuff, but I love the challenge of discovering such gems! And remember, I’d never share anything with you that I wouldn’t wear myself, or recommend to my best friend!

This month’s haul has a strong focus on at-home pieces, that also transition out to our new world!

Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 120-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS/0 and 26 jeans. My fit tips and size recommendations are included with each description. 

Dresses & Jumpsuits //

Grab this dress in every color! It’s the kind of dress you’ll live in all summer with sandals, flip-flops, or sneakers. Soft cotton blend with a touch of stretch, it’s thick enough to feel substantial, but not enough to make it bulky or hot. I love the cap sleeve and fuller skirt, and the length is perfect for running around with no mishaps. And it even has pockets!

Another easy throw-on dress, this one with loose sleeves and an A-line shape. It’s thinner than the last one, but not sheer. It makes a cute swim cover-up, too.

These dresses had me at gingham. The colors are so happy and fresh for summer, too! They’re a silky woven material that’s lightweight and cool to the touch. Both fully-lined with loose fitting tiers. It falls to the knee, so you can wear it with flat sandals or wedges. And it even has pockets!

Jersey knit maxis are my faves lately… I jokingly refer to them as my house dresses. They’re as comfy as pajamas, but cute for feeling more like myself. I mean, we have to stop wearing sweatpants eventually, right?! This one has a bra-friendly tank style top, and fuller skirt. The material is soft and stretchy in a great mid-weight, and it’s incredibly well-made.

Another maxi, this one a silky-smooth jersey knit with lots of stretch and flow. It has short sleeves and comes in the cutest stripe combos (plus solids). The skirt doesn’t have a slit, but it’s wide enough for easy walking. The silhouette is fairly straight all the way down.

See… I’m clearly having a love affair with this style of dress! This cute option has a fun racerback shape and slight high-low hem. This one has a slight A-line shape from the waist down, so it’s less fitted through the bum and hips.

I may have to retire my sweatpants soon, but you’ll never make me give up my knit jumpsuits! I love the cropped wide legs of this one, plus it’s crazy soft! It’s a thick and stretchy material, so it fits well across the bum. The waist is elastic with an adjustable drawstring, so you can fit it where you like best.

Skirts //

The colors of this skirt have me swooning… so bright and happy, right!? It’s a comfortable pull-on style with elastic waist and is fully lined. The woven material is soft and moves beautifully, too. Dress it up with heels and statement jewels, or wear it as you would shorts with a tank or knotted-up tee and your fave flat sandals. So easy and chic!

Another fun skirt option, this tiered cutie is a pull-on, as well, with stretchy elastic waist. It comes in a ton of colors, and is fully-lined to the knee. And check out those sandals!! I’m obsessed! More about those shortly…

Tops & Tees //

Okay, now let’s chat tops and tees. I found some great ones for all your Zoom calls, weekend patio dates, and everything in between. This one was a favorite find this month… I’m crazy for the feminine elbow length puff sleeve. It’s a woven material with a little texture and a lot of stretch. Dress it up with trousers or skirts, or pair it with jeans and shorts for an easy, chic style.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small, which is a tad big in the arm, but the XS was a tad snug. So size up if in-between.

Here’s the same top in white… and a size smaller. You can mostly see the difference in the sleeve fit and length. The white isn’t sheer, but you’ll need nude undergarments.

Another fun pullover top, in the same textured woven material. This one has a cute peplum hem, that’s also high-low, with a drop shoulder. Pair it with skinny jeans to balance the volume, and dress it up for night with wedges, or keep it casual with flats.

I waited over a month for this top, and it was worth every minute! I’m crazy for the bright leopard print… the colors are so fresh for summer nights! It has adjustable racerback straps and a sassy lace trim. The length is great for wearing out or tucking.

Soft tees and cut-offs are a daily combo for me now that it’s warm… and this tee is as soft as they come. A great light weight with lots of stretch, it feels a bit like jersey knit. The hem is rounded for wearing out or tucked, and covers the bum.

Mr. SP and I always call each other ‘babe,’ so I was instantly smitten with this fun tee! I love the simplistic graphic style, too. It’s super soft, and stretchier than a traditional tee.

Pajamas //

I tried a slew of pajamas this month, and this set is the only one that made the cut. The cutest brushed cotton shorts with elastic waist and drawstring, and coordinating cotton tee. The tee is not flimsy at all!

Workout Wear //

I think I work out more now than I did pre-pandemic! I love my workouts at home with my trainer-friend Angi!! We’re starting a Sugarplum Fitness Class on Zoom next week and hope y’all will join us! Get the details and register for the classes HERE!

I was in need of more workout bras, so I ordered several styles to test, and these were by far my faves of the bunch. First up, they keep everything locked and loaded!! They have removable pads for more coverage, and a thick band for support. They’re racerback style, and come in an affordable 3-pack!

Accessories //

Okay, the requests for summer bags have been coming in hot, and I’ve got some darling finds for you! I’m not sure about you, but I’ve been carrying only crossbody bags lately… something I can keep on me. And small bags at that, considering I’m not out long enough to warrant a full bag of stuff!

That said, this pink bag is a great size for holding a lot, without being bulky. It comes with both a solid strap and the cute double-sided graphic strap. And tons of color options!

The smaller bag is perfect for daily essentials, with three zippered compartments. It comes with a matching solid strap that easily detaches, so I  swapped it out for the fun stripes!

I ordered these fun straw bags for an upcoming project I’m shooting (can. not. wait. to share it!!), and am so impressed by them! Especially given the price! Great size and quality, and so cute with all my summer styles. The aviators are a great find too… fit well and super sturdy.

As for the sandals… I hit the jackpot this month! I love the thin gold straps and padded foot bed of the flip-flops, and the strappy sandals are surprisingly comfortable and so chic!

Fit Tip: Size up one in the flip flops, they run a little short. The strappy sandals are true to size.

And finally, you know I’ve been living in the world’s comfiest bra (find it HERE), but I wanted to find a more affordable option, too. I tried on no fewer than seven styles, and while none are as soft and comfy as this one… this pack was a close second. They’re pull-on with no clasps or buckles, and padded cups for shape and support.

I’ve ordered several more styles from a range of retailers, so stay tuned!
