Amazon Fashion Finds | November

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! Today is a happy day for two reasons…one, we’re headed to the lake and OHEMGEE am I ready for that! And two, it’s my birthday!

I don’t necessarily love what getting older does to my face (especially my neck, what is that?!), but I’m grateful for a strong, capable, healthy mind and body! Birthdays take on a whole new meaning when you lose people you love, and I feel privileged to celebrate another year of life.

The attention of birthdays actually makes me feel uncomfortable…I much prefer being the giver and doter. Nothing makes me happier than giving to others, so today we’re announcing our third annual Sugarplum Cares! Over the years, we’ve sponsored more than 70 families in the Sugarplum community during the holidays, and I’m beyond grateful we’re able to continue helping.

Between the pandemic and job insecurities, there’s no question it’s been a hard time for many. Moving on to today’s post…we blinked and another month has gone by, and today it’s time for your favorite series, my Amazon Fashion Finds! I started these Fashion Finds five years ago, and they quickly became reader faves. It takes some intense digging to find the good stuff, but I love the challenge of discovering such gems!

With Fall finally here, I’ve got a slew of styles for the months and occasions ahead!

 

Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 125-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS and 26 jeans. My fit tips and sizing recommendations are included with each description. 

Sweaters //

I was wearing this on my Instagram Story earlier this week and never had so many link requests!! And for good reason, it’s as cute and quality as a J.Crew fair isle, but without the price tag. Soft enough to wear alone, it has a slight funnel neck and relaxed fit. Check out all the color ways, but good luck choosing just one!

Another fun pattern, I love the shades of peach and sage in this soft, comfy sweater. The quality in this month’s sweater finds is on par with any high-end department store!

I love the preppy vibes of this striped sweater with tortoise buttons! It has a touch of wool-blend, but still soft enough to wear alone. It’s an oversized fit with longer length and so cute worn tucked or out.

I’m a sucker for fair isle, and this was another great find! So soft and stretchy, with a high crew neck. The pattern has fun shades of black and pink.

Can a girl have too many long cardigans? Don’t answer that! This wool blend is warm and sturdy, with a great longer length. This simple combo is easy, yet chic.

This gorgeous find is what I call a ‘serious sweater.’ It’s heavy and so warm…so the wearability window in the South is about two weeks, ha! But those of you in colder climates will love it!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small sweater, but it’s oversized, so no need to size up.

I know we all live for leggings this time of year, so I’m always on the lookout for tunic-length sweaters…and this one is a jackpot winner! Made of a heavy, but soft, sweater knit, it fully covers the bum (and front!), with a tall, but relaxed, turtleneck. The sleeves are fitted through the forearm so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It has a fun ribbed texture, too.

Here’s the same sweater in black to give you some more styling options. These faux-leather are the only street leggings I wear, and find them just as stylish, but more comfortable, than Spanx!

And just for comparison, here’s the famous batwing sweater we’ve all loved for years. I still adore it and wear it non-stop…it’s a little lighter in weight, has a more relaxed neckline, longer sleeves, and not quite as long.

Tees & Pullovers //

Who’s ready for holiday tees?! This one has been in my closet for three years, and is still one of my favorites. This one and this one are super cute, too!

I cleaned out my closet for the new season last week and realized 50% of it consists of fleece! Apparently I embraced the cozy phase and never let go. And I’m not mad about it! This is a favorite style from last year, in a new fun color combo. It’s super soft and warm, and great quality jacket for throwing on with jeans or after a workout.

This fuzzy soft pullover isn’t the same quality as the others I’ve shared in this style, but definitely a great find for the price.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small pullover, but would need to size up one more to wear with leggings…it’s a little snug across the bottom.

Dresses & Skirts //

This combo is proof you should always try things on…because out of the bag I was like, ‘Nope!’ But actually loved it once I put it on! It’s incredible quality and softness, in a thick and stretchy material that smooths and supports a little. It’s a sweater and skirt set, so you can break it up, as well.

Fit Tip: I’m waring size XS. The trick to half-tucking bulky sweaters in skirts is to actually tuck it in your bra! 😉

Thanksgiving called and they want you to wear this plaid dress to dinner! So cute, right?! Made of a sturdy brushed flannel, it’s soft and warm…and even has pockets. Belt it or wear it long for more pie.

If your Thanksgiving is super casual, you could opt for this sweatshirt dress for all the sweet potatoes. I love the hood and super soft sweatshirt material.

Let’s move on to some more festive dresses…starting with this sassy red number! I actually have (and love!) it in black, but think the red is so fun for the season. It’s made of a thick and stretchy cotton twill-type material, but still has good movement and drape in the skirt. The straps are adjustable, and the fit and flare shape is so flattering.

This lace dress would be lovely for weddings, parties and church. The overlay is well done, and the material soft with a touch of stretch.

This dress is as comfy as it is chic! The top is a thick jersey knit, and the skirt a nice chiffon with beautiful pleats. I love how it moves, and the fit so flattering. It comes in a range of great colors, too.

Coats & Jackets //

Okay, Winter is coming…so it’s time to make sure your coat closet is stocked! I love a good peacoat, but add a sweetheart collar like this and I’m smitten! I love the feminine fit of this a-line coat, and the colors are so fun. It’s great for wearing over dressier styles, or adding a little more style to your winter jeans outfits.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small coat, but would need to size up again to layer over sweaters! So it def runs small.

Amazon house brands are truly legit when it comes to most of their styles, particularly coats and jackets! This puffer is so warm, with a detachable hood and slightly longer length. I love that the waist nips in a little for more shape…so while it’s definitely puffy, it doesn’t feel bulky.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small because I always size up in coats, but don’t think it’s necessary for this one. It’s already oversized for layering.

This is a similar coat in quality and warmth, but much longer length…perfect for outdoor sporting events (those bleachers are COLD!), walking across campus (college girls!), or super cold climates. This coat could easily pass for three times the price!

Now this is what I call a serious coat! Like the kind of coat I could probably only wear one week of the year in Texas! But those of you in cold climates…this a good one!! It’s crazy warm, weather resistant, and adjustable waist drawstring. You’ll never believe the price!!

Lounge & Pajamas //

This waffle knit set was a favorite this summer, so I had to try the long-sleeve version for Fall. It’s a nice medium weight, with elastic pull-on shorts and operational drawstring. Lots of great colors, too.

And finally, it’s that time of year again….Jijama time! My favorite cold weather pajamas, they are made of the same Pima cotton as newborn pajamas, making them the softest cotton you’ve ever worn. And they only get better with every wash! I get a new pair every year, and still wear my first set from five years ago!
