Amazon Fashion Finds | November

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! Today is a happy day for two reasons…one, we’re headed to the lake and OHEMGEE am I ready for that! And two, it’s my birthday!

I don’t necessarily love what getting older does to my face (especially my neck, what is that?!), but I’m grateful for a strong, capable, healthy mind and body! Birthdays take on a whole new meaning when you lose people you love, and I feel privileged to celebrate another year of life.

The attention of birthdays actually makes me feel uncomfortable…I much prefer being the giver and doter. Nothing makes me happier than giving to others, so today we’re announcing our third annual Sugarplum Cares! Over the years, we’ve sponsored more than 70 families in the Sugarplum community during the holidays, and I’m beyond grateful we’re able to continue helping.

Between the pandemic and job insecurities, there’s no question it’s been a hard time for many. So if you or someone you know is in a dire financial situation this holiday season, email us at sugarplumcares@gmail.com to apply. We receive 100s of nominations every year, so please limit to the families in a critical position. I wish we could help everyone, but hopefully this inspires you to help in your community, too!

Moving on to today’s post…we blinked and another month has gone by, and today it’s time for your favorite series, my Amazon Fashion Finds! I started these Fashion Finds five years ago, and they quickly became reader faves. It takes some intense digging to find the good stuff, but I love the challenge of discovering such gems!

With Fall finally here, I’ve got a slew of styles for the months and occasions ahead!

Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 125-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS and 26 jeans. My fit tips and sizing recommendations are included with each description.

Sweaters //

I was wearing this on my Instagram Story earlier this week and never had so many link requests!! And for good reason, it’s as cute and quality as a J.Crew fair isle, but without the price tag. Soft enough to wear alone, it has a slight funnel neck and relaxed fit. Check out all the color ways, but good luck choosing just one!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small sweater

Fair Isle Sweater | Chain Mules (Also HERE) | White Jeans | High Waist Crop Jeans | Gold Bead Bracelets

Another fun pattern, I love the shades of peach and sage in this soft, comfy sweater. The quality in this month’s sweater finds is on par with any high-end department store!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small sweater

Chevron Sweater (Color: K-pink) | Layered Pendant Necklace with:
Left: Distressed Straight Leg Jeans | Booties (similar HERE) \\ Right: High Waist Crop Jeans | Chain Mules (Also HERE) | Gold Bead Bracelets

I love the preppy vibes of this striped sweater with tortoise buttons! It has a touch of wool-blend, but still soft enough to wear alone. It’s an oversized fit with longer length and so cute worn tucked or out.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small sweater

Striped Button Sweater (Color: white) | Gold Bead Bracelets with:
Left: Black Jeans | Mules // Right: Distressed Straight Leg Jeans | Booties (similar HERE)

I’m a sucker for fair isle, and this was another great find! So soft and stretchy, with a high crew neck. The pattern has fun shades of black and pink.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small sweater

Fair Isle Sweater | Gold Bead Bracelets with:
Left: Black Jeans | Mules // Right: High Waist Crop Jeans | Chain Mules (Also HERE)

Can a girl have too many long cardigans? Don’t answer that! This wool blend is warm and sturdy, with a great longer length. This simple combo is easy, yet chic.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS sweater

Open Front Cardigan (Color: camel heather) | Tank Top | Black Jeans | Leopard Flats | Gold Bead Bracelets | Layered Pendant Necklace

This gorgeous find is what I call a ‘serious sweater.’ It’s heavy and so warm…so the wearability window in the South is about two weeks, ha! But those of you in colder climates will love it!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small sweater, but it’s oversized, so no need to size up.

Turtleneck Sweater (Color: striped black) | Gold Bead Bracelets with:
Left: White Jeans | Chain Mules (Also HERE) // Right: Black Jeans | Leopard Flats

I know we all live for leggings this time of year, so I’m always on the lookout for tunic-length sweaters…and this one is a jackpot winner! Made of a heavy, but soft, sweater knit, it fully covers the bum (and front!), with a tall, but relaxed, turtleneck. The sleeves are fitted through the forearm so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It has a fun ribbed texture, too.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small sweater, but no need to size up

Oversized Sweater (Color: rose red) | Gold Bead Bracelets with:
Left : Distressed Straight Leg Jeans | Booties (similar HERE) // Right: Faux Leather Leggings | Mules

Here’s the same sweater in black to give you some more styling options. These faux-leather are the only street leggings I wear, and find them just as stylish, but more comfortable, than Spanx!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small sweater and small leggings (I fold them under for shorter length)

Oversized Sweater | Gold Bead Bracelets with:
Left : Distressed Straight Leg Jeans | Booties (similar HERE) // Right: Faux Leather Leggings | Leopard Flats

And just for comparison, here’s the famous batwing sweater we’ve all loved for years. I still adore it and wear it non-stop…it’s a little lighter in weight, has a more relaxed neckline, longer sleeves, and not quite as long.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS sweater

Tees & Pullovers //

Who’s ready for holiday tees?! This one has been in my closet for three years, and is still one of my favorites. This one and this one are super cute, too!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing size Small tee

Merry. Tee (Color: Z-Dark Grey) | Chew Hem Jeans | Sneakers (40% off!) | Gold Bead Bracelets | Layered Pendant Necklace

I cleaned out my closet for the new season last week and realized 50% of it consists of fleece! Apparently I embraced the cozy phase and never let go. And I’m not mad about it! This is a favorite style from last year, in a new fun color combo. It’s super soft and warm, and great quality jacket for throwing on with jeans or after a workout.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small jacket

Sherpa Zip-Up Jacket | Tank Top | Chew Hem Jeans | Sneakers (40% off!) | Layered Pendant Necklace

This fuzzy soft pullover isn’t the same quality as the others I’ve shared in this style, but definitely a great find for the price.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small pullover, but would need to size up one more to wear with leggings…it’s a little snug across the bottom.

Quilted Pullover (Color: Jujube Red) | Chew Hem Jeans | Sneakers (40% off!) | Gold Bead Bracelets

Dresses & Skirts //

This combo is proof you should always try things on…because out of the bag I was like, ‘Nope!’ But actually loved it once I put it on! It’s incredible quality and softness, in a thick and stretchy material that smooths and supports a little. It’s a sweater and skirt set, so you can break it up, as well.

Fit Tip: I’m waring size XS. The trick to half-tucking bulky sweaters in skirts is to actually tuck it in your bra! 😉

Ribbed Sweater Dress (Color: Dark Chestnut Brown Heather) | Booties (similar HERE) | Gold Bead Bracelets | Layered Pendant Necklace

Thanksgiving called and they want you to wear this plaid dress to dinner! So cute, right?! Made of a sturdy brushed flannel, it’s soft and warm…and even has pockets. Belt it or wear it long for more pie.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small dress

Plaid Shirt Dress (Color: Burgundy, Scottish Plaid) | Booties (similar HERE) | Chain Mules (Also HERE) | Gold Bead Bracelets

If your Thanksgiving is super casual, you could opt for this sweatshirt dress for all the sweet potatoes. I love the hood and super soft sweatshirt material.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS dress, but would prefer a size up for more room through the bum.

Sweatshirt Dress (Color: Praline) | Sneakers (40% off!) | Gold Bead Bracelets

Let’s move on to some more festive dresses…starting with this sassy red number! I actually have (and love!) it in black, but think the red is so fun for the season. It’s made of a thick and stretchy cotton twill-type material, but still has good movement and drape in the skirt. The straps are adjustable, and the fit and flare shape is so flattering.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS dress

Sassy Midi Dress (Color: Red) | Ankle Strap Heels

This lace dress would be lovely for weddings, parties and church. The overlay is well done, and the material soft with a touch of stretch.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small dress

Long Sleeved Lace Dress (Color: Green) | Ankle Strap Heels

This dress is as comfy as it is chic! The top is a thick jersey knit, and the skirt a nice chiffon with beautiful pleats. I love how it moves, and the fit so flattering. It comes in a range of great colors, too.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small dress

Coats & Jackets //

Okay, Winter is coming…so it’s time to make sure your coat closet is stocked! I love a good peacoat, but add a sweetheart collar like this and I’m smitten! I love the feminine fit of this a-line coat, and the colors are so fun. It’s great for wearing over dressier styles, or adding a little more style to your winter jeans outfits.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small coat, but would need to size up again to layer over sweaters! So it def runs small.

Double Breasted Pea Coat (Colors: Beige & Pink) | Black Jeans | Leopard Flats

Amazon house brands are truly legit when it comes to most of their styles, particularly coats and jackets! This puffer is so warm, with a detachable hood and slightly longer length. I love that the waist nips in a little for more shape…so while it’s definitely puffy, it doesn’t feel bulky.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small because I always size up in coats, but don’t think it’s necessary for this one. It’s already oversized for layering.

Hooded Puffer Jacket | Merry. Tee | Chew Hem Jeans | Sneakers (40% off!)

This is a similar coat in quality and warmth, but much longer length…perfect for outdoor sporting events (those bleachers are COLD!), walking across campus (college girls!), or super cold climates. This coat could easily pass for three times the price!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small coat

Long Hooded Puffer Jacket | Merry. Tee | Chew Hem Jeans | Sneakers (40% off!) | Layered Pendant Necklace

Now this is what I call a serious coat! Like the kind of coat I could probably only wear one week of the year in Texas! But those of you in cold climates…this a good one!! It’s crazy warm, weather resistant, and adjustable waist drawstring. You’ll never believe the price!!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small parka, but didn’t need to size up.

Hooded Parka | Merry. Tee | Chew Hem Jeans | Sneakers (40% off!) | Layered Pendant Necklace

Lounge & Pajamas //

This waffle knit set was a favorite this summer, so I had to try the long-sleeve version for Fall. It’s a nice medium weight, with elastic pull-on shorts and operational drawstring. Lots of great colors, too.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small set

Waffle Knit Lounge Set (Color: Green) | Fuzzy Slippers | Gold Bead Bracelets

A similar style, this lounge set is made of a thick sweatshirt material. The top is oversized with a drop sleeve, and elastic waist shorts.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small set

Sweatshirt Lounge Set | Fuzzy Slippers | Gold Bead Bracelets

And finally, it’s that time of year again….Jijama time! My favorite cold weather pajamas, they are made of the same Pima cotton as newborn pajamas, making them the softest cotton you’ve ever worn. And they only get better with every wash! I get a new pair every year, and still wear my first set from five years ago!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small

Striped Sleeved Pajama Set | Fuzzy Slippers | Heart Pajama SetGold Bead Bracelets

So once again, Amazon delivers the goods! So many great finds and stylish pieces, don’t you think? And of course I wore the Easy Does It Wire-Free Bra with just about everything. Don’t we all have at least one of those happy bras by now?!

I honestly love everything I shared (I only share the good stuff!), but if I had to narrow it down, these would be my Top 5:

  1. Striped Sleeved Pajama Set
  2. Oversized Sweater
  3. Fair Isle Sweater
  4. Hooded Puffer Jacket & Long Hooded Puffer Jacket
  5. Open Front Cardigan

As for the most popular from October’s Amazon Fashion Finds, here are your Top 5:

  1. Utility Puffer Jacket
  2. Leopard Midi Skirt
  3. Hooded Sweater

Ok, I’m going to need a tutorial on how you tuck a bulky sweater into your bra to make that sweater/skirt combo work.
