Three Ways | Pink Field Jacket

Cheers to Friday! Between all the rain and standardized testing the kids had this week, we are ready for some sunshine and fun this weekend! We’ve got more birthday celebrations, soccer games, and fingers crossed, a date night! What do you have planned?

For today’s Fashion Friday, I’ve got a bright dose of Spring Style for you! I couldn’t stop thinking about this pink military jacket from the last Dressing Room Diaries post, so I finally caved when it went on sale. With temperatures still flip-flopping between warm and cool, lightweight jackets are essential…and since I wear my green military jacket constantly, I knew I’d get a ton of wear out of this one, too.

And to prove it, I’ve styled this punchy pink beauty three ways..with the help of some fun bags from Barrington’s colorful new Spring line! (Be sure to check the bottom of this post for an exclusive discount code!!!)

I knew my green military jacket went with absolutely everything, but wondered if I might be a little more limited with the pink. Turns out, the pink is just as versatile, and looks darling paired with most every outfit I created!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Reg XS, and it’s plenty roomy…even after drying. And fyi, mine is actually called ‘buoy red.’ I haven’t seen the fuchsia in person, but my guess is it’s more intensely pink. And use code APRFUN for 35% off!!

Style Tip: Self-tanner is my friend from now until Summer…it’s slimming and covers most of my leg imperfections. Check my tips & tricks for using self tanner here.

If you’ve been following this blog for more than a minute, you know I’m cuckoo over Barrington bags. Not only are they so colorful and stylish, but unbelievably sturdy and well-made. I’ve been carrying a striped Savannah as my everyday bag (my favorite style because of it’s size, zipper close, and endless pockets), and a striped St. Anne as a travel carry-on, for years!

The only problem with Barrington, is having to choose a color, pattern and monogram style! I honestly spent over an hour creating options, and finally decided after lots of fretting and hand-wringing. I literally gasped with excitement, and might have even clapped a little, when it arrived! This is the Savannah in sand chambray with a lilac lipstick stripe. #preppyswoon

I don’t think an outfit could scream, ‘Spring!’ louder than this second look! I used the floral boots to tie in the colors of the top and jacket, but it’d be just as cute with neutral booties or sandals. And I’ll pause while you gape at that striped bag! Cutest ever, right?!

These jeans are a few years old (hence the extra-large holes!), but I just discovered a new pair of non-distressed white jeans, and I’m obsessed!! I’ll share them next week, but just know they are nice and thick (so they aren’t see-thru and the pockets don’t show!), and have just enough stretch to hold you in. Oh, and no muffin top!

For a final look, I went with a more classic combo of crisp white top, and cognac leather sandals.

I mentioned these lace-up sandals in this week’s Five Under $50 post, and I’ve been wearing them pretty much non-stop all week. Hard to believe they are this comfy for that low price.
Fit Tip: The sandals only come in whole-sizes, so I sized down, and they fit great.

I never met a tassel I didn’t love, and this silk dip-dyed tassel necklace is no exception! Paired with the double-strand turquoise beads, it will make any outfit pop.

I’ve been begging my friends at Barrington to design a smaller, cross body bag for years…so when they unveiled the new Norfolk style, I raced to duplicate my favorite black and white stripe. The adjustable strap allows it to be shoulder or cross body, and has ample space for my daily necessities.
