It’s no secret I’m a stalker huge fan of designer, Jill Sorenson. She writes the highly popular blog, Live.Like.You., and runs her own design studio, Marmalade Interiors. Last year she opened an online shop, that not only sells gorgeous home decor, but also gives free design advice with full room boards, great tips and paint colors.
Jill is absolutely fearless in her designs, and creates the most fun and vibrant rooms. Designers like Jill give me the confidence to take chances, like using radish pink, aqua and bright yellow in Babygirl’s Room, or navy blue walls with bright pink doors in a bathroom! Anytime I start to doubt myself when creating a new space, I think, ‘What would Jill do?’ (Seriously, I do.) Jill’s work has been featured everywhere from Trad Home and House of Fifty, to Apartment Therapy and The Nate Berkus Show.
So when she asked me to be the guest editor of her new collection, Aloha Chic, I whooped instantly agreed. It’s a gorgeous collection…the perfect combination of glam and beachy brights. The room renderings are artwork in themselves!
Jill is basically genius the way she’s organized Live Like You. You choose your room personality, then she shows you how to decorate three rooms in that style. I had several favorites, but Aloha Chic just topped my list. Behind each door lies a treasure trove of beautiful goods and amazing ideas.
UPDATE: Congrats to Natalie {Designer Bags & Dirty Diapers}…winner of the Foo Dogs! Email me girl and I’ll hook you up!
